Overall this model was somewhat easy to use, somewhat accurate for counting steps, and good at measuring heart-rate accuracy. With recent version iPhones, our experts found it very easy to pair, somewhat difficult to interact with, and likewise for recent version Android phones, very easy to pair, very easy to attach to the body, and very easy to recharge the battery. In our water immersion test it passed the manufacturer's claim of 164 feet for 10 minutes.

The Fitbit Charge 4 has nudges to reach your goals, smartphone notifications to get calls and calendar alerts, send text notifications and quick replies, and Quick replies for Android phones are available only when your phone is nearby. Has real-time pace and distance without a phone and can get a map of your route in the Fitbit app. Choose from 20 plus exercise modes like running, bicycling, swimming, yoga and more, set a goal and get real-time stats during your workouts, and after outdoor exercise, check your workout intensity map in the Fitbit app to see your heart rate zones throughout your route. Can personalize your smartwatch or tracker by choosing from a variety of clock faces designed for any occasion. Has a cardio fitness score to get a better understanding of your fitness level and see how you can improve over time. Has Female Health Tracking that helps with knowing your body on a deeper level using your tracker or smartwatch with the Fitbit app to follow your cycle, record symptoms and more. Has guided breathing sessions to find moments of calm throughout your day with personalized breathing sessions based on your heart rate.
