Design and features:This Bluetooth wireless portable earbud model provides very good sound. Its open-air design doesn't muffle outside sounds so you'll be able to hear that door bell ring, train announcement, or car horn when you are wearing the headphones.
Additional features include:
Has integrated volume control, microphone, and call connect/disconnect control. Either earpiece can be used alone for one ear monitoring of Bluetooth streamed audio and telephone communications. Free 1MORE MUSIC app download for Apple and Android mobile devices adds additional features and software updates.
Sound quality:We found the Fit SE Open Earbuds S31 delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. With the 1More Music app Equalizer set to studio (as received state of the earphone) the bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact, but is a touch prominent and boomy, doesn't go deep. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is somewhat grainy, a bit hazy, telephone-like, sibilant and a touch congested (think sonic traffic jam). The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is extended but is somewhat smeared and a bit prominent and sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying). The sound has a good sense of liveliness depending on fit and it has an open sound, but that's because it's not covering your ears, not because the audio sounds open and does a decent job of recovering room ambience in the upper midrange and so-so everywhere else. Mixed character; neutral bass and midrange, coolish treble. The overall sound can be summarized as somewhat grainy, a bit bright, and a touch bassy. The tone settings of the app do have a noticeable effect on the sound of these earphones.
Comfort and Fit:We found that these earphones produce a sense of light pressure on the ears.
