Design and features:This Bluetooth wireless portable on-ear models has a non-isolating design doesn't muffle outside sounds so you'll be able to hear that door bell ring, train announcement, or car horn when you are wearing these earphones.
Additional features:Has integrated volume control, microphone, and call connect/disconnect control. Free Shokz app download for iOS and Android mobile devices adds additional features and software updates. This model does not have active noise cancellation, but claims to have open-ear noise reduction.
Sound quality:We found the OpenFit Pro delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. With the Shokz app Equalizer mode set to Standard and Dolby Atmos set to off (as received state of the earphone) and the Noise Control set to Noise Reduction mode the
bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes fairly deep, but is a touch prominent and boomy. The
midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is somewhat grainy, a bit hazy and congested (think sonic traffic jam) , a touch sibilant, and the upper midrange is a bit prominent. The
treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is extended but is somewhat smeared and a touch sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying). The sound also has a good sense of liveliness and is open--sound-wise it seems like you don't have anything plugging up your ears, and does a decent job of recovering room ambience in the midrange. Warmish character. The overall sound can be summarized as a touch bassy and somewhat grainy. The tone settings of the app do have a noticeable effect on the sound of these earphones.
Comfort and Fit:There is a sense of light pressure on the ears.
