Sound quality:We found the OpenMove delivers sound quality that falls in the fair range - meaning that it has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog and communication. This model has three tone settings; the standard tone setting was used. What little bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) it had was very subdued and lacked impact and depth. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) was hazy, congested, somewhat thin and a bit nasal. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) was fairly extended, but subdued and a bit sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying). Does a so-so job of recovering midrange tonal region room ambience from recordings. It has an open sound, but that's because it's not covering your ears, not because the audio sounds open and it the sound lacks liveliness. Neutral character. The overall sound can be summarized as telephone-like. The other tone setting had a noticeable effect on the sound; in the voice booster mode the vocal range was a bit more prominent, and in the earplug mode when the provided earplugs were used and a good seal was achieved the sound became a bit distant and echoey.
Comfort and Fit:We found that these earphones produce a slight sense of pressure in front of the ears.
It fits securely even with vigorous head movement.
When played at its loudest volume (which is not very loud) a vibration can be felt that might feel like an electric shock (but it's not).
The neckband is generally not noticeable unless it interferes with clothing, hair, headwear, or you have a really large head.
