Sound quality:

We found the OpenRun Pro delivers sound quality that falls in the fair range - meaning that it has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog and communication. This model has two tone settings; the Standard tone setting was used. What little bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) it had was very subdued and lacked impact and depth. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) lacks body (the lower midrange is subdued), was congested, and somewhat muffled and nasal. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) lacked extension and was subdued. Doesn't do a good job of recovering room ambience from recordings. It has an open sound, but that's because it's not covering your ears, not because the audio sounds open. The sound also has a decent sense of liveliness. Warmish character. The overall sound can be summarized as telephone-like. The other tone setting had a slight effect on the sound; in the voice booster mode the bass was a bit more subdued.

Comfort and Fit:
We found that these earphones produce a slight sense of pressure in front of the ears. Fits securely even with vigorous head movement. When played at its loudest volume a vibration can be felt that might feel like an electric shock. The neckband is generally not noticeable unless it interferes with clothing, hair, headwear, or you have a really large head.
