Sound quality: We found the NanoBuds2.0 delivers sound quality that falls in the good range - it reproduces music and voice reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. The bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) goes deep but is prominent and boomy; the impact ranges from decent to good to excessive depending on how they are positioned in the ears. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even, but somewhat grainy, hazy, and congested, and depending on the program material and fit can be somewhat overwhelmed by the bass. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is extended but somewhat smeared, and depending on the fit and volume level ranges from a bit prominent to a bit subdued. The sound also has a good sense of liveliness and is somewhat open--sound-wise it almost seems like you don't have anything plugging up your ears and does a decent job of recovering room ambience. Warm character. The overall sound can be summarized as somewhat grainy and hazy, and depending on the fit bassy to excessively bassy.
Comfort: As typical of in-ear models they produce a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening that might be uncomfortable for some. Users with small ear bowls might find that the earphone body fits securely enough in their earbowl for casual use, but feels bulky, and the fit can effect the sound quality - to get a good fit have to jam it deep in the ear, which may make the bass sound excessive. Users with medium and larger sized ear bowls will probably find that this model fits and stays in place with no problems and feels very secure for casual use. Some uses might find tapping on the touch controls to actuate some of the functions drives the earphone further into the ear canal and causes ear discomfort. Incidental contact with the touch controls can cause unintentional volume level changes or track skipping.
