Sound quality:We found the Beats Flex delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes fairly deep, but is somewhat prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even, but is somewhat hazy, a bit grainy and congested, and depending on the program material, can be somewhat overwhelmed by the bass. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended but is a bit smeared. The sound also has a good sense of liveliness and is somewhat open--sound-wise it almost seems like you don't have anything plugging up your ears and does a decent job of recovering room ambience. Warmish character. The overall sound can be summarized as bassy and somewhat hazy.
Comfort and Fit:As typical of in-ear models they produce a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening that might be uncomfortable for some.
Small
Fits and stays in place with no problem for casual use for users with small sized ear canals, but may shake loose during vigorous head movements.
Medium
Fits and stays in place with no problem for casual use for users with medium sized ear canals, but may shake loose during vigorous head movements.
Large
Fits and stays in place with no problem for casual use for users with large sized ear canals, but may shake loose during vigorous head movements.
The Collar is not generally noticeable and is very convenient unless it interferes with clothing.
When earphones are not in the ears they dangle from the collar, clip together magnetically, and rest on the chest; while this is very convenient, the earphones will swing out away from the body when leaning over; this can be bothersome or expose them to damage.
The sound of the earphone connecting cable rubbing on clothing may be heard through the earphones by some users depending on the clothing it's rubbing on.
