Design and features:Although this portable on-ear model lacks active noise reduction, the closed design helps to reduce both outside noise and sound leaking out into your environment. The headphones have medium sensitivity, so they can provide satisfying volume levels when used with all but the lowest-powered portable audio devices. The P5 Series 2 has earphones that swivel flat for travel and storage, and comes with a detachable 46-inch long audio cable with built-in mic and answer/music player control button for iPhone/iPod/iPad and smartphone use, a detachable 45-inch standard audio cable, and a carrying pouch .
Sound quality: The P5 Series 2 delivers good overall sound with a warm character. Bass has good impact and goes deep, but is pronounced and boomy. Midrange is a bit constricted and far away sounding, and treble is recessed, and upper treble is rolled off. The overall sound is closed-in, with decent dynamics. Compared to the P5 model it replaces, the Series 2 has deeper, boomier, more prominent bass, a less even overall tonal balance, and a warmer overall character.
Comfort: We found that these headphones are generally comfortable, but they can produce a moderate sense of pressure on the ears, and the earpads might feel hot and/or sticky after prolonged use.
