Design and features:These earphones have an integrated microphone and volume, music player function, and call connect/disconnect controls for use with paired Bluetooth devices. The Fitbit Flyer is claimed by the manufacturer to be water resistant and comes with three pairs of ear pieces in various sizes, four pairs of removable ear bowl supports in various types and sizes, a USB charging cable, and a carrying pouch.
Sound quality: We found the Flyer delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. The overall sound can be summarized as boomy and hazy. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is prominent and boomy. The midrange is fairly even, and somewhat hazy, a bit grainy, and somewhat overwhelmed by the bass. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended and a bit subdued. While the sound has a decent sense of liveliness it is somewhat closed-in (sound-wise it is somewhat obvious that you have something plugging your ears).
Comfort: As typical of in-ear models the Flyer produces a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening might be uncomfortable for some. Many users will find that this model will stay in place with no problem and is very stable even with vigorous head movement, but those with larger ear bowls may find that it does not fit securely. The sound of the earphone connecting cable rubbing on clothing may be heard through the earphones by some users depending on the clothing it's rubbing on.
