Design and features:This home/studio-style on-ear model provides excellent sound. Its open-air design doesn't muffle outside sounds so you'll be able to hear that door bell ring, train announcement, or car horn when you are wearing the headphones. The headphones have high sensitivity so they can provide satisfying volume levels when used with lower-powered portable audio devices. Additional features include - Earcups swivel, replaceable earpads. This model comes with Mini-plug-to-1/4-inch-plug adapter.
Sound quality:We found the SR325x delivers sound quality that falls in the excellent range - while no headphone is perfect, the shortcomings of this model are minor. The bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is somewhat prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) fairly even, but is a bit dark and grainy, a touch hazy, and depending on the program material the bass can somewhat overwhelm the midrange. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) extended and detailed, but slightly subdued. The sound also has a good sense of liveliness and is somewhat open--sound-wise it almost seems like you don't have anything plugging up your ears and does a decent job of recovering room ambience. Warm character. The overall sound can best be summarized as somewhat bassy and a bit dark.
Comfort and Fit:We found that these headphones produce a sense of moderate pressure around the ears.
As typical of on-ear models the ear pads might feel hot after prolonged use.
Large
Users with larger heads might find that the headband does not have enough adjustment range resulting in the headband pressing uncomfortably on the top of the head and/or the earcups not sitting properly on the ears.
Stability
Some users may find that when they lean far forward the headphones feel a bit unstable and shift forward.
Other noise
When the audio cord is used the sound of it rubbing on clothing may be faintly heard through the earphones.
Earpad note
Some users might find that the earpad foam feels a bit rough.
