The Smile Jamaica BT has an integrated microphone and volume, music player function, and call connect/disconnect controls for use with paired Bluetooth devices. This model uses a collar/earphone design - all of the electronics and controls are incorporated into an open collar that sits around the neck, and the earphones are attached to wires that extend from the collar. This model is claimed by the manufacturer to be water resistant and comes with two pairs of ear pieces in various sizes, a USB charging cable, and a carrying pouch.

Sound quality:

We found the Smile Jamaica BT delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. The overall sound can be summarized as generally mellow, but slightly bassy and a touch rough. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is a bit prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even, but a bit hazy and congested (think sonic traffic jam), and somewhat grainy. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is somewhat subdued and a bit smeared (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer sound blurred), and the upper treble is muted. While the sound has a good sense of liveliness it is somewhat closed-in (sound-wise it is somewhat obvious that you have something plugging your ears).

Comfort and Fit:
As typical of in-ear models the Sime Jamaica BT produces a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening might be uncomfortable for some. They stay in place in the ears with no problem, and the collar is not generally noticeable and is very convenient unless it interferes with clothing. When earphones are not in the ears they hang from the collar which has a provision to adjust the cable length to limit how much they will dangle to keep them out of the way.
