Design and features:

These earphones have an integrated microphone and music player function and call connect/disconnect controls for use with paired Bluetooth devices. They support various digital voice assistants when used with Bluetooth devices that have those features. The Tune 220TWS comes with a USB charging cable and a charging cradle/recharger battery/carrying case that the manufacture claims can be used to recharge the earphone batteries approximately 5 times between its own charges.

Sound quality:

We found the Tune 220TWS delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. We found the sound quality highly variable and is very dependent on how these earphones sit in the user's ears. When positioned for its best sound quality the bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is slightly prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is even but is somewhat hazy, grainy, and congested and has a touch of a plastic resonance. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended, but is a somewhat subdued and a bit smeared. While the sound has a decent sense of liveliness, it is somewhat closed (sound-wise it's fairly obvious you have something plugging your ears) and it does a decent job of recovering room ambience (the sense of the acoustic space in which the audio program that's being listened to was recorded). Warmish character. The overall sound can best be summarized as slightly Bassy and somewhat hazy and grainy. At its best over Bluetooth this model scores Very Good. The less than optimal fit scored in the Good range where the overall sound can best be summarized as thin, grainy, and tending toward harsh.

Comfort and Fit:
We found that these earphones produce no pressure in ear canal, fits and stays in place with no problem for casual use for users with small, medium, and large sized ear bowls, but shifts during fairly vigorous head movements and hitting the stem that hangs out of the ear can knock an earphone lose and cause it to fall out of the ear. Have to fiddle a bit to find the position that provides the best sound quality. otherwise easy to forget you have them on. The left earpiece occasionally experienced short dropouts when they are being put in the ears; need to remove them and put them back in to get them to both play.
