Design and features:

These earphones have high sensitivity so they can provide satisfying volume levels when used with lower-powered portable audio devices. The Fit 2.0 Sport Earbuds has an integrated microphone and player function controls that are compatible with iPads, some iPods, and some iPhones and some other cellphones. The call connect/disconnect button can be used with some iPhones and some other cellphones. These earphones may not operate properly with some non-Apple/non-Android mobile devices or other audio equipment. This model is claimed by the manufacturer to be water resistant and comes with seven pairs of ear pieces in various sizes and types and a removable shirt clip. The free RockMyRun fitness app and jLab Audio app is available for download to Apple or Android mobile devices; the JLab Audio app provides various signals that are intended to "burn-in" audio devices, but otherwise seems to be a shopping link to other jLab products.

Sound quality:

We found the Fit 2.0 Sport Earbuds delivers sound quality that falls in the good range - it reproduces music and voice reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. The overall sound can be summarized as boomy and sizzly. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) goes deep, but is prominent , boomy, and has exaggerated impact. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even, but is somewhat grainy, a bit hazy, and overwhelmed by the bass. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying), somewhat prominent, and the upper treble seems cut off. While the sound has a good sense of liveliness it is somewhat closed-in (sound-wise it is somewhat obvious that you have something plugging your ears).

Comfort and Fit:
As typical of in-ear models the Fit 2.0 Sport Earbuds produce a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening might be uncomfortable for some. It takes some futzing to get them into place, but once fitted they stay in place with no problem and are very stable even with vigorous head movement. The moldable ear hooks increase the sense of stability for users with medium or larger ears but may not do much for users with smaller ears.
