Although it lacks active noise reduction, the ear plug-like design helps to reduce both outside noise and sound leaking out into your environment. The GO Air POP additional features include - either earpiece can be used alone for one ear monitoring of Bluetooth streamed audio and telephone communications. Charging/carrying case has built-in rechargeable battery that the manufacturer claims can be used to recharge the earphone batteries for an additional 24hrs. of listening time for a total of 32 hrs. Manufacturer claims water resistance of (IPX4) for headphones. Free JLab app for Apple and Android mobile devices provides an audio burn-in sequence; otherwise just seems to be a shopping portal for other JLab products. Has touch controls for volume, music player play/pause, call connect/disconnect, next/prev track music player function controls, digital voice assistant activation and EQ change. Supports Apple Siri and Google Assistant digital voice assistants when used with Bluetooth devices that have those capabilities and that, if needed, have the appropriate apps installed. Bluetooth connected Apple mobile devices using iOS Version 5 and above will show the battery level. Has three EQ settings; JLab signature(bass and vocal boost), Balanced, and Bass boost. Sound quality:We found the GO Air POP delivers sound quality that falls in the good range - it reproduces music and voice reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. In the Signature EQ mode the bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is a somewhat prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even, somewhat grainy, and a bit hazy, etched (a bit more sharply outlined then it should be) and sibilant, and depending on the program material the bass can somewhat overwhelm the midrange. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended but somewhat prominent and sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying), and a bit smeared. Somewhat open sounding, and does a decent job of recovering room ambience. Good dynamics. Mixed character - warm bass with neutral midrange and treble. The overall sound can best be summarized as somewhat bassy, grainy, and edgy. The EQ settings do have an effect on the sound - compared to the Signature setting the bass Boost setting increases the bass, and the Balanced setting makes the sound a bit thin overall.
Comfort and Fit:We found that these earphones as typical of in-ear models they produce a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening that might be uncomfortable for some.
Small
Users with small earbowls might find that the earphone body feels a bit bulky in their earbowl and that they stick out too far and feel like they may lever out of place and are mostly held in place by the section of the earphone that is inserted in the ear canal, but that they will generally stay in place during casual use and that they are stable during fairly vigorous head movements.
Medium/Large
Users with medium to large sized ear bowls will probably find that this model fits and stays in place with no problems for casual use and that they are fairly stable during vigorous head movements.
Incidental contact with the touch controls can cause unintentional volume level changes.
