Design and features:The M9B (2019 VERSION) has an integrated microphone, and volume, music player, and call connect/disconnect controls for paired Bluetooth devices. Additional features include support for Apple Siri and other voice commends when used with Bluetooth devices that have those features, and earphones that clip together magnetically to keep them around users neck when not in use. This model is claimed to be water resistant and comes with four pairs of ear pieces in various types and sizes, four pairs of ear bowl supports in various sizes, and a USB charging cable.
Sound quality: We found the M9B (2019 VERSION) delivers sound quality that falls in the Good range - it reproduces music and voice reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. The overall sound can be summarized as a somewhat bassy, hazy and grainy. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is somewhat prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even but is somewhat hazy and grainy. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is a bit smeared (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer sound blurred), and the upper treble sound cut off. This model does a decent job of recovering the room ambience of a recording (the sense of the acoustic space in which the audio program that's being listened to was recorded). The sound also has a good sense of liveliness and is somewhat open--sound-wise it almost seems like you don't have anything plugging up your ears.
Comfort: As typical of in-ear models they produce a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening that might be uncomfortable for some. Regardless of ear bowl size, users will probably find that it may take a little fiddling with this model to get proper earpiece seals, but once they are seated the earphones stay in place with no problems for casual use and they are very stable even during vigorous head movement. Users with larger ear canals might not get a good seal from the earpieces. The sound of the earphone connecting cable rubbing on clothing may be heard through the earphones.
