Design and features:

These earphones have high sensitivity, so they can provide satisfying volume levels when used with lower-powered portable audio devices. The MS 300 BA has an integrated microphone and music player function controls that are compatible with iPads, some iPods, some iPhones, and some other cellphones. The call connect/disconnect button can be used with some iPhones and Android phones and some other cellphones. These earphones may not operate properly with some non-Apple/non-Android mobile devices or other audio equipment. This model comes with four pairs of ear pieces in various sizes and a carrying case.

Sound quality:

We found the MS 300 BA delivers sound quality that falls in the good range - it reproduces music and voice reasonably well, despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. The overall sound can best be summarized as slightly lean and a bit aggressive. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has decent impact and goes fairly deep, but is slightly subdued and lacks a bit of detail. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is a bit thin, somewhat rough and slightly etched (a bit more sharply outlined then it should be). The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is extended but smeared (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer sound blurred) and somewhat subdued. The sound has a good sense of liveliness and is somewhat open (sound-wise it almost seems like you don't have anything plugging your ears).

Comfort and Fit:
We found that these earphones fit and stay in place with no problem, but as is typical of in-ear models, they produce a sense of pressure in the ear opening that might be uncomfortable for some.

The Phiaton MS 300 BA portable earphones have an isolating ear-insert design. These iPod/cellphone-centric earphones have a 42-inch audio cord with a modified stereo, 4-contact mini-plug that works with iPods, iPads, iPhones, and some cellphones, but may not be compatible with other audio devices. The earphones have an inline microphone and inline remote with a music player function and call connect/disconnect control. The MS 300 BA comes with four pairs of ear pieces in various sizes and a carrying case, and is covered by a 12-month warranty.
