Design and features:Although this portable Bluetooth ear-insert model lacks active noise reduction, its earplug-like design helps to reduce both outside noise and sound leaking out into your environment. The BackBeat Go 2 has a volume control, plus integrated microphone, music player and integrated call connect/disconnect controls that work with Bluetooth devices. Among its features is a claimed resistance to moisture, an eight-device Bluetooth pairing memory, and voice announcements and LED indications for power on/off, Bluetooth pairing, and battery status. You can download a free MyHeadset app (iOS and Android) that lets you view the headset battery meter on Bluetooth-connected iOS or Android tablets and phones. This model comes with three pairs of earpieces in various sizes, a USB charging cable, and an AC charger.
Sound quality: The BackBeat Go 2 delivers good overall sound, with a cool character. Bass has so-so impact and is slightly recessed. Midrange is prominent, thin, and a bit peaky. Treble is extended but smeared. Overall sound is fairly open, with good dynamics.
Comfort: We found that these earphones produce a sense of pressure in the ear opening that might be uncomfortable for some. We had to fiddle with them a bit to get them to seat properly and to get the best sound quality; although they stay in place, they don't really feel secure.
