Design and features:This portable ear-insert model doesn't have active noise reduction, but its earplug-like design helps to reduce both outside noise and sound leaking out into your environment. The earphones have high sensitivity, so they can provide satisfying volume levels when used with home audio equipment and even lower-powered portable audio devices. This model comes with three sets of earpieces of various sizes and a storage case.
Sound quality: We found the CX 300-II delivers very good overall sound with a slightly warm character and good dynamics. Bass was well-defined, though low bass frequencies were rolled off and impact was just OK. Midrange had good detail, but was slightly closed-in. Treble was also detailed, but the upper-most frequencies were rolled off.
Comfort: We found that these earphones produce a sense of pressure in the ear opening that might be uncomfortable for some, though the inserts fit well and stay in place with no problems.
