Design and features:The Method Wireless has an integrated microphone and volume, music player function, and call connect/disconnect controls for use with paired Bluetooth devices. This model uses a collar/earphone design - all of the electronics and controls are incorporated into an open collar that sits around the neck, and the earphones are attached to wires that extend from the collar. It is claimed by the manufacturer to be water resistant and comes with two pairs of ear pieces in various sizes, and a USB charging cable.
Sound quality: We found the Method Wireless delivers sound quality that falls in the good range - it reproduces music and voice reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. The overall sound can be summarized as bassy and somewhat hazy. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is prominent and boomy. The midrange is fairly even, but somewhat hazy and a bit dark (there is an opaqueness that covers up fine detail), and somewhat overwhelmed by the bass. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended, but a touch smeared (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer sound blurred). While the sound has a good sense of liveliness it is closed-in (sound-wise it is obvious that you have something plugging up your ears).
Comfort: As typical of in-ear models the Method Wireless produces a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening might be uncomfortable for some. Once this model is placed in the ears it will stay in place with no problem during casual use, but users with larger ear canal openings will not be able to get a good seal from the larger of the two ear pieces supplied, so they will not be able to hear the best sound quality that this model offers. Users with larger necks may find the collar feels restrictive, but it's not generally noticeable for users with medium sized and smaller necks and is very convenient unless it interferes with clothing. When earphones are not in the ears they hang from the collar which has a provision to adjust the cable length to limit how much they will dangle to keep them out of the way.
