Design and features:Although this Bluetooth wireless home/studio-style on-ear model lacks active noise reduction, the closed design helps to reduce both outside noise and sound leaking out into your environment. When connected via the cord, the headphones have medium-high sensitivity so they can provide satisfying volume levels even when used with lower-powered portable audio devices. The Tracks Air has an integrated microphone and volume, music player function, and call connect/disconnect controls that work with paired Bluetooth devices. Additional features include NFC Bluetooth pairing, voice-activated dialing, the ability to simultaneous connect two Bluetooth devices, settings menu voice announcements, defeatable voice status announcements for power on/off, Bluetooth pairing, and battery level, and a replicable headband. This model comes with a detachable 58-inch detachable audio cable with built-in mic and answer/player control button for iPhone/iPod/iPad and smartphone use, a USB charging cable, and a carrying bag.
Sound quality: The Tracks Air delivers good overall sound, with a warm character. Bass has good impact and goes fairly deep, but is pronounced, boomy, and heavy sounding. Midrange is muffled and dark, and treble is rolled off. The overall sound is closed-in, with so-so dynamics. We found no significant difference in sound quality whether using a Bluetooth or wired connection.
Comfort: We found that these headphones produce a sense of moderate pressure around the ears. The earpads might feel hot and/or sticky after prolonged use.
