Design and features:This Bluetooth wireless portable earbud model provides mediocre sound. Its non-isolating design doesn't muffle outside sounds so you'll be able to hear that door bell ring, train announcement, or car horn when you are wearing these earphones. Additional features include - Either earphone can be used alone for one ear monitoring of Bluetooth streamed audio and telephone communications. Charging/carrying case has built-in rechargeable battery that the manufacturer claims can be used to recharge the earphone batteries for an additional 20 hrs. of playtime for a total of 30 hrs. Manufacturer claims water resistance (IPX4). Has touch controls; default settings are play/pause/call answer/end, next/previous track. Bluetooth connected Apple mobile devices using iOS Version 5 and above will show the battery level. Multipoint connection compatible. Fast charge feature; 10 mins = 3 hours. Soundcore app download for Apple and Android mobile devices can be used to customize the headphone touch control functions, enable low latency mode, check battery levels, and update firmware.
Sound quality:We found the C30i delivers sound quality that falls in the mediocre range - meaning that it has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog and communication. Users may find they do not produce any pressure in the ear canal, but the user may have to fiddle a bit to get them into place and to find the position that provides the best sound quality. With the 3D Sound set to off (default setting is soundcore signature) in the Soundcore app, the bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has poor impact and doesn't go deep and is somewhat subdued. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is thin and is a bit hazy and sibilant and somewhat grainy and congested (think sonic traffic jam). The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is extended, but is a bit prominent, smeared and somewhat sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying) and a touch dry. The sound also has a decent sense of liveliness and is open--sound-wise it is very obvious you don't have anything plugging up your ears, but that's because it's not covering your ears, not because the audio sounds open. This model also does a so-so job of recovering the room ambience of recordings. Coolish character. The overall sound can best be summarized as thin, hazy and grainy and telephone-like. The 3D Sound setting of the app has a slight noticeable effect on the sound of these earphones.
Comfort and Fit:These earphones have a unique design - they have a clip that goes around the lower part of the outer ear near the lobe which holds the earphone against the back of the earbowl , with the sound being directed toward the ear canal. As such they do not produce any pressure in the ear canal, but the user may have to fiddle a bit to get them into place and to find the position that provides the best sound quality.
Small
Users with smaller ears will probably find that this model stays in place with no problems for casual use, that they are very stable even during vigorous head movement, and many may find that they are unobtrusive so it's easy to forget they are being worn.
Medium
Users with medium sized ears will probably find that this model stays in place with no problems for casual use, that they are very stable even during vigorous head movement, and many may find that they are unobtrusive so it's easy to forget they are being worn.
Large
Users with larger ears will probably find that this model stays in place with no problems for casual use , but some may find that this model squeezes their outer ear and/or puts pressure on the back of the ears where the clip presses, and if it does it may be more noticeable when the user turns their head.
Incidental contact with the touch controls on the left/right/either cuff can cause unintentional trigger of the voice assistant and possibly other controls.
Tech note: even though this is a unique non-isolating design, it does not radiate a lot of sound that can be heard by bystanders and is no better or worse than other non-isolating models in this regard.
