Design and features:
This Bluetooth wireless portable on-ear models non-isolating design doesn't muffle outside sounds so you'll be able to hear that door bell ring, train announcement, or car horn when you are wearing these earphones.

Additional features:
Has integrated volume control, microphone, and call connect/disconnect control. Either earpiece can be used alone for one ear monitoring of Bluetooth streamed audio and telephone communications. Soundcore app download for Apple and Android mobile devices adds additional features and software updates.

Sound quality:
We found the V40i delivers sound quality that falls in the mediocre range - meaning that it has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog and communication. The bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has decent impact, but is touch boomy (depending on fit) and goes fairly deep. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is somewhat grainy, hazy and congested (think sonic traffic jam) and a bit thin. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) lacks extension and is a bit sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying), smeared and dry. While the sound has a decent sense of liveliness, it is closed (sound-wise it's obvious you have something plugging your ears) and does a so-so job of recovering room ambience. Mixed character; neutral bass and midrange and coolish treble. The overall sound can be summarized as somewhat congested, hazy and dry. The tone settings of the app do have a noticeable effect on the sound of these earphones.

Comfort and Fit:
There is a sense of light pressure on the ears. Small Users with small sized ears may find that ear hooks feel a bit bulky behind the ears, that this model stays in place with no problems for casual use, and are stable during fairly vigorous head movement. Medium Users with medium sized ears may find that ear hooks feel a bit bulky behind the ears , that this model stays in place with no problems for casual use, and are stable during fairly vigorous head movement. Large Users with large sized ears may find that ear hooks feel a bit bulky behind the ears, that this model stays in place with no problems for casual use and that they are somewhat stable during fairly vigorous head movement.
