Design and features:The Stadion has an integrated microphone and volume, music player function, and call connect/disconnect controls for use with paired Bluetooth devices. This model comes with three pairs of ear pieces in various sizes, a USB charging cable, and a carrying bag.
Sound quality: We found the Stadion delivers sound quality that falls in the fair range, meaning that it has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog and communication. The overall sound can be summarized as dark with boomy vague bass. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact, but is vague and somewhat prominent and boomy, and the deepest bass is lacking. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is generally somewhat dark (there is an opaqueness that covers up fine detail) and soft, and a bit grainy. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is somewhat subdued and smeared (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer sound blurred). While the sound has a decent sense of liveliness it is closed-in (sound-wise it is obvious that you have something plugging your ears).
Comfort: The Stadion has a hybrid ear-insert/ear bud design - the earpieces insert into the ear canals slightly but don't seal them as with typical ear-insert models, and they are supported by the ear bowls like an ear bud model rather than the ear canals as with typical ear-inserts. The overall design of this model can make getting it into place in the ears confusing, and users with long hair may be in for some additional fumbling. The ear bowl support ear pieces and ear hooks make these earphones very stable even with vigorous head movement and users with medium sized or smaller heads will find that once the earpieces are positioned optimally they stay in place with no problem; however, users with bigger heads might find that the coiled earphone-to-earphone cable pulls the earpieces out of the optimum position for getting the best sound quality that this model provides (the bass sounds more subdued than intended). The coiled earphone-to-earphone cable and around-the-back-of-the-headband/electronics module produce a slight to moderate sense of tension depending on the size of the users head. Even though the controls are behind the head they are not difficult to operate by feel.
