Sound QualityThe Naxa NAS-5001 has Fair overall sound quality - this model has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog. Bass has so-so impact, is subdued, somewhat boomy, and doesn't go deep. Midrange is hazy, somewhat grainy, plasticky, and telephone-like. Lower treble is a bit prominent and sizzly, otherwise the treble lacks extension, is subdued and smeared. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience and is congested. There was no significant difference between WiFi, Bluetooth and analog sound quality. Provides a decent volume level in a small to medium sized room.

Ease of Use
Overall ease of use of the Naxa NAS-5001 is very good. Wireless setup: Setup requires an app downloaded to a device or device connection, easy but not intuitive (e.g. leaving app to change settings/returning to app to continue) - need instructions (may be included in app), may or may not involve inputting Wi-Fi network password, and account setups. Console controls: Volume controls are prominent and well labeled; it lacks index markings for volume levels, but it does have an audible indication when max volume is reached. Audio mute: Lacks mute control on console. Microphone mute: Well marked, well placed, clear indication when it is engaged. Source selections: Requires app to be installed, app installation is straight forward. Once app is installed switching between inputs is fairly intuitive. App remote: Volume control is well labeled, but is not prominent due to position; has non-persistent graphical position marking but lacks specific index markings. Mute: (Remote) Well marked, well placed, clear indication when it is engaged and mutes the line input. Voice transport controls: Natural language control of transport (Play/Pause/Skip/Mute), volume controls and source selection was easy and intuitive.
