Sound quality: Altec Lansing's Jacket H2O 4 had Fair overall sound quality. Bass has very little impact and mid and lower bass is lacking. Midrange is gritty, dry, and somewhat thin and hazy. Treble is fairly extended, but somewhat smeared and dry, depending on the program material it may sound a bit subdued. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience and is congested. Bluetooth and wired sound quality are similar. It provides a decent volume level in a small sized room and is best suited for near field listening, at its loudest volume levels, the sound becomes strained.
