    Detailed Test Results

Sound quality: Bose's Soundlink Revolve had good overall sound quality. Bass has good impact but is somewhat boomy, slightly prominent and deep bass is lacking. Midrange is fairly even but is a bit hazy and a touch metallic sounding. Treble is fairly extended but is smeared and sizzly. Does a decent job of recovering room ambience and is hazy and somewhat congested. Provides a decent volume level in medium to large sized room. No significant difference between Bluetooth, wired and USB sound quality. When two units are used as a stereo pair it can get louder, but since two separate speakers are used the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement and room ambience remains decent, sound quality improves but remains good. When compared to the Revolve + it sounds very similar but doesn't play as loud and the bass has a little less heft.

Ease of use: We found the Bose Soundlink Revolve ease of use to be very good overall. Bluetooth pairing was excellent as the device is always in pairing mode when not paired. The volume controls are high contrast buttons (+/-) and also has a max volume indicator. Switching inputs involves the use of a source button that is prominent and clearly labeled and verbally indicates which source has been selected (Bluetooth, Line-in and USB/PC Sources). (Unambiguous.). The Aux jack is unlabeled.
