Sound quality: NAD's Viso 1 AP had good overall sound quality. Bass has good impact and goes deep but is slightly pronounced and boomy. Midrange is muffled, and treble is very rolled off. This model doesn't do a good job recovering room ambience--a sense of the acoustic space where the recording was made--and it lacks detail and treble air. We found no significant difference regardless of whether a WiFi, Bluetooth, or optical audio connection was used. This model can provide a high volume level in a medium-sized room.
Ease of use: We found the system's ease of use to be good overall. The NAD Viso 1 AP Bluetooth pairing is very easy since the speaker is always in pairing mode, though it lacks a pairing mode indicator and it doesn't acknowledge when pairing is completed. WiFi setup is very easy--it involves docking an iOS mobile device via a USB cable and pressing the "M" and "S" buttons simultaneously, which brings up the WiFi sharing dialog request on the device. The speaker volume controls are adequately marked and easy to use, but the mute and source buttons are unlabeled and have multiple functions; you'll likely need to refer to provided instructions. The provided remote control has decent-sized black buttons for transport controls, volume, source and mute, but lack contrast.
