Sound quality: Anker SoundCore's Select Pro had Fair overall sound quality - this model has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog. With the Custom EQ set for the most even tonal balance, bass has good, but blunted, impact, is slightly prominent, somewhat boomy, and deep bass is lacking. Midrange is a touch nasal, a bit muffled, somewhat grainy and congested, and has a slight plastic resonance. Treble is fairly extended but lower and mid treble is somewhat subdued, and upper treble is somewhat smeared and a bit sizzly. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience and is somewhat congested. Provides a decent volume level in a medium sized room, sounds strained at higher volumes.
Ease of use: We found the Anker SoundCore Select Pro ease of use to be very good overall. Bluetooth pairing requires the press of a labeled high contrast button; then discover with your device. There is an indication when unit is in pairing mode and when it has paired. Volume controls: The volume controls are low contrast buttons (+/-) with a visual indicator for max/min volume. Sources: Bluetooth only and lacks Aux input.
