Sound quality: Tribit's StormBox Micro BTS10 had Fair overall sound quality - this model has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog. Bass has decent impact, but is somewhat subdued and does not go deep. Midrange is a bit thin and plasticky, and somewhat grainy, hazy, congested. Treble is fairly extended, but is somewhat sizzly and the mid-treble is somewhat subdued. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience and sounds somewhat congested. The speaker is monophonic. When two units are used as a stereo pair the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement. Provides a decent volume level in a small sized room.
Ease of use: We found the Tribit StormBox Micro BTS10 ease of use to be Very Good overall. Bluetooth: Unit is always in pairing mode when not already paired, has a pairing mode indicator (tone and flashing light), indicates with a tone and solid light when pairing has occurred and never times out. The volume controls are low contrast buttons (+/-) with an audible indicator for max volume. This is a Bluetooth only model and lacks Aux input.
