Sound quality: The UE Wonderboom 2 has Good overall sound quality. Bass is somewhat subdued, has so-so impact and lower bass is lacking. Midrange is a bit thin, somewhat grainy and hazy, and a bit echoey. Treble is fairly extended, but somewhat prominent and smeared. Does a decent job of recovering room ambience in the upper midrange and lower treble, but doesn't do well otherwise, and is somewhat congested. Provides a decent volume level in small to medium sized room. When combined with a second unit to form a stereo pair they provide wider stereo separation. The sound is similar to when one unit is used except the bass goes a somewhat deeper with impact that improves to decent but becomes somewhat boomy, the midrange becomes more even, and the overall sound gets a bit more echoey; the overall score improves but remains in the Good range. Provides a decent volume level in medium sized room.
Ease of use: We found the UE Wonderboom ease of use to be Very Good overall. The units volume controls are large high contrast buttons (+/-) and also has max volume audible indicator. When both volume buttons are pressed also provides an unlabeled battery level indicator function. The device lacks a line-in input jack. Bluetooth pairing was excellent as the device is always in pairing mode when not already paired.
