Sound quality: V-Moda's Remix had fair overall sound quality. Bass has good impact but is tubby and somewhat prominent and deep bass is lacking. Midrange is somewhat hazy, and a bit constricted and echoey. Treble is smeared and sizzly and upper treble is muted. Has an echoey quality which masks the natural room ambience and is lacking in detail - it does a so so job of recovering room ambience and sounds congested. Can provide enough volume to be heard in a medium sized room. Bluetooth and wired sound quality are similar. Would have scored in the good range if not for distortion that may occur with some content playback.
Ease of use: We found the V-Moda Remix ease of use to be very good overall. Volume controls are prominant and high contrast, there is nothing to indicate that it is a volume control except + and - symbols, no index markings but it does indicate with a tone when you reach the min and max setting. Works with line in and Bluetooth inputs. Source selection involves plug and unplug - The line input has priority over Bluetooth when plugged in with slight or no delay. Unambiguous. Bluetooth pairing is very good - requires a press of a well marked button on the unit and then the selection of unit from Bluetooth selection list on source device; unit provides an obvious indication that the unit is in pairing mode as well as when pairing has actually occurred.
