If you’re shopping for electronics gifts this holiday season, Best Buy has a bunch of Black Friday deals on tech items, everything from laptops to smartwatches to speakers, sound bars, and TVs.

Among the best offers, you’ll find an Apple HomePod smart speaker for $199, the latest Microsoft Surface Pro laptop for $600, and a 65-inch LG 4K OLED smart TV for $1,800.

Some of the deals are available now and others will be rolled out in the days ahead, but most kick off online on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28) and in stores starting at 5 p.m. local time. Stores in some states may be closed for the holiday, though, so be sure to check the retailer’s website for details.

We’ve combed through Best Buy’s 100-plus-page circular ad in search of great tech bargains. Here’s what we found.

12.3-Inch Microsoft Surface Pro 7
The deal:
$600 at Best Buy
This 2-in-1 detachable is the newest laptop on this list—so new, in fact, that we only finished testing it this week. (Spoiler: It did well.) The deal includes a Microsoft keyboard, which doubles as a cover; it’s usually sold separately and generally brings the price up to nearly $1,000. The model has an Intel Core i3 processor, 4 gigabytes of memory, and 128GB of solid state storage; Best Buy also has a model with an Intel i5 processor on sale for $800. The i3 model is good for most everyday tasks—think web browsing and editing text documents—and you can remove the touch screen from the keyboard for use as a tablet.

13.3-Inch Apple MacBook Air
The deal:
$900 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Apple MacBook Air
The MacBook Air is Apple’s entry-level laptop for mainstream consumers, and it’s usually available for around $1,100. This model has an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of memory, and 128GB of solid state storage space—more than enough to get “real” work done in apps such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Apple’s own iWork, but perhaps not enough to edit high-resolution video or play graphics-heavy games.

Fitbit Versa Lite
The deal: $100 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Fitbit Versa Lite
This may not be the fanciest smartwatch out there, but at this price it’s cheaper than some fitness trackers. It has an easy-to-read display and will adequately count your steps and track your heart rate. Target and Kohl’s will also have the Versa Lite on sale for $100 on Black Friday, but Kohl’s sweetens the deal with $30 in Kohl’s Cash.

Apple Watch Series 4
The deal: $300 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Apple Watch Series 4 (44mm) Aluminum Case GPS
Best Buy is offering $50 to $300 off last year’s Apple Watches, depending on the version. All the Series 4 watches we tested earn an Excellent score, and they’re not a whole lot different from this year’s models in terms of features. But you’d better act fast. Apple discontinued the Series 4 when it rolled out the Series 5, so retailers may run out of stock. And this deal is available now, so you don’t need to wait till Black Friday.

Garmin Fenix 5X Sapphire (51mm)
The deal: $300 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Garmin Fenix 5X Sapphire
Great for both iPhone and Android users, this watch scores points for durability. Our testers found its glass to be exceptionally scratch-resistant, and the company made good on its claim of water resistance at the equivalent of 192 feet for 10 minutes.

Sound Bars

Vizio 2.1-Channel Sound Bar
The deal: $100 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Vizio SB3621N-E8M
This sound bar speaker system did well in our ratings, with decent overall sound quality. It usually sells for about $180.

Samsung 3.1-Channel Sound Bar
The deal: $210 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Samsung HW-R650/ZA
This model did well in our tests, with decent if not exceptional sound quality. But it looks like a pretty good deal because it’s selling for just under $330 now at several retailers. (Try searching for just the Samsung HW-R650; it’s the same model.)

Sonos 3.0-Channel Sound Bar
The deal: $320 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Sonos Beam
This fine-performing sound bar, near the top of our sound bar ratings, usually sells for about $400, but we expect to see it at this price at several retailers on Black Friday. Costco will have the Shadow edition of the Beam for $300 online Nov. 28. The Beam has Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s Assistant digital assistants built in; it also includes support for Apple AirPlay 2.

Bose SoundLink Revolve Wireless Speaker
The deal: $119 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Bose SoundLink Revolve
Down from the normal price of $199—and Bose products aren’t frequently discounted—the Revolve offers a solid value. It features large and intuitive controls easily accessible on the top of the speaker. And our testers say it performs well sonically with sparkling highs and a well-controlled bass.

Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 5 Wireless Speaker
The deal: $119 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 5
Given the $249 list price, this seems like a crazy deal, but the speaker is frequently discounted well below $200. In fact, Walmart and Overstock.com have matched Best Buy’s price. Behind the sleek styling, the Studio 5 does perform well, according to our testers, with bass that’s strong but also a bit boomy. Note that the Studio 5 delivers purely mono sound, even when it’s paired with another speaker.

Sony SRS XB41 Wireless Speaker
The deal: $125 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Sony SRS XB41
That’s almost half off the normal street price, but note that Target offers a similar discount. The XB41 makes a visual statement with a series of LED lights that sync to the music and can be customized via a smartphone app. The XB stands for eXtra Bass and—true to its name—the unit pumps out enough volume to fill a medium-sized room. Our testers found it easy to use, too, noting that pairing two units in stereo improved the sound.

Apple HomePod Smart Speaker
The deal: $199 with three free months of Apple Music at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Apple HomePod
That’s $100 in savings on a speaker that’s rarely discounted. The sound quality puts the model well ahead of early generation smart speakers but behind models such as the Google Home Max and Sonos One. Our testers give the HomePod, which tends to work most seamlessly with other Apple products and services, strong marks for ease of use, though. The Apple Music deal is open only to new subscribers.

JBL Boombox Wireless Speaker
The deal: $380 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: JBL Boombox
Although the $120 discount looks like a solid deal, the Boombox can often be found at other retailers, including Amazon, for around $399, not $499 as advertised. That said, this offer is worth a look. Weighing in at 12 pounds and packing a robust Powerbank power supply good for 24 hours of nonstop music, with juice to spare for charging phones and other devices, according to the manufacturer, the JBL is the total tailgating tool. One of CR’s highest-rated portable wireless speakers, it sports truly impressive bass—maybe even a little too much, according to our testers—and can supply volume aplenty without distortion, even outdoors.

40-Inch Insignia 1080p TV
The deal: $130 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: Insignia NS-40D420NA20
This set, which does well for HD, was $180 at one point. It’s a low price for a 40-inch set, but more models this size now have 4K rather than 1080p resolution.

55-Inch LG 4K Smart TV
The deal: $300 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: LG 55UK6090PUA
This set, which we tested, usually sells for about $380. While it did fine for HD picture quality, it wasn’t great for 4K or HDR performance. It’s a doorbuster deal.

65-Inch LG 4K OLED Smart TV
The deal: $1,800 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: LG OLED65B9
This LG OLED TV, its least expensive model, is among the best TVs you can buy in 2019. You’ll save about $200 at Best Buy’s sale, because it’s $2,000 almost everywhere else, including at the Costco Black Friday sale.
