The Apple AirPods Pro 2 is a non-prescription, over-the-counter hearing aid with an in-the-ear (ITE) style. This design may either fill the bowl-shaped outer ear (full shell), or just only the lower part (half shell). Typically used as headphone earbuds, this model also has hearing aid functionality when used with the latest version of iOS. It has a self-fitting test available to customize to a personal hearing profile. It has a rechargeable case that uses a USB-C cable, and there is an companion app for controlling the hearing aids but it is not compatible with Android.
It has a manufacturer warranty period that might cover hardware defects or replacements, lasting 12 months. The trial period to test out the hearing aids without penalty is 14 days and is shorter than most other models.
It does not come with a cleaning kit but it can be purchased, for use as needed. It includes 1 pair of a single size of dome/eartip. The manufacturer has no recommended replacement cycle, but we suggest replacement every 6 months as a standard. The appx cost of annual replacement accessories is $10, however prices may vary. This is based on the manufacturer's recommended replacement cycles, and if not specified for domes/eartips, we use a default cycle of 6 months.
