Do they really help us drink more? In the name of hydration, I tested two smart water bottles to find out.

The Larq, which you may have seen on Shark Tank, flashes to remind you to drink, but also uses a UV-C LED light inside the bottle to purify the water.

The Hidrate Spark sends frequent reminders to drink via an app to both a phone and Apple Watch and other smart devices like a FitBit, while also beeping and glowing to encourage you to take a swig. Read on to find out about their unique features and which one does a better job of prodding you to pick up your bottle.
