If you’re looking for something not-too-expensive that offers Google Play access (unlike Amazon Fire tablets), you can consider the Lenovo Tab Plus. It earns only middling scores in our performance and camera tests, but does a decent job with basic browsing, apps, and multimedia (though the display isn’t particularly impressive). It also excels in terms of battery life, lasting 14.2 hours browsing the web and 13.8 hours watching videos.

We found the KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine was impressively well-built, especially given its budget-friendly price. It may take some getting used to for beginners, but we found that it produced reliably good espresso shots. This model comes with numerous accessories, including a milk jug for steaming (the only model we evaluated that offered this).

The price at Amazon is exceptional right now, dropping about $25 since Black Friday.

The Our Place Always Pan 2.0 is one of the top-rated nonstick frying pans in CR’s tests. We find that it cooks evenly, and its handle is sturdy and is cool enough to the touch that you won’t need a potholder every time you reach for it. Its nonstick food release is very good, and it earns a very good score in our nonstick durability test. This pan is induction-compatible, the manufacturer says it’s oven safe to 450° F, and it’s on sale for about 25 percent off for Black Friday. 

If you’re a fan of the Google Pixel phone, then the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are a solid choice for a complementary earbud. They have a Find My Device function, and the sound can be adjusted through the Pixel app. The Pixel Buds 2 earn very good sound quality grades and score well for noise cancellation. They’re now $10 less than they were during the last big sale, making this a great time to get them for a deep discount.

The Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 are a great solution to the annual routine of putting up holiday lights. You mount them once and leave them up year-round. They can display dozens of different lighting patterns for every holiday you can imagine, and when you’re not in a holiday season they can be used as white accent lights for your home. In my evaluation, the lights were very easy to set up and worked with every major smart home platform thanks to the Matter standard. Amazon is discounting 50-foot, 100-foot, and 150-foot sets of these lights in both black and white finishes by 35 to 39 percent.

A stand mixer like the KitchenAid Artisan Series KSM195PSBK is a prized possession on many bakers’ countertops, and this price makes it easier to add it to yours. This stand mixer earns an excellent score for whipping time in whipped-cream tests, and an excellent score in our mixing tests, where we observe how much a mixer labors when mixing thick chocolate-chip cookie dough. It comes with a stainless steel bowl with a handle, a whisk, and a dough hook. This model can also run attachments like a pasta maker or spiralizer, bought separately.

The Soundlink Max is a modestly sized portable that delivers. The sound quality is satisfying with deep impactful bass, though our testers find that the Max can become harsh at high volumes. The $100 discount looks better when you realize that Bose speakers go on sale less frequently than other brands’ products.

The MacBook Air has been a great choice for most people since the first model was released way back in 2008. This one—outfitted with Apple’s homegrown M1 processor—debuted in 2020 and is still a compelling choice for many people. (Heck, this article was written on one!) This model is now getting hard to find, but if you see one, it’s selling at a price so low it practically requires a double-take. In fact, the sale price just dipped $50 since this morning.

This 3-inch memory foam mattress topper is an especially good deal in the king size (the other sizes are a decent value as well, but the king size price dropped significantly for Cyber Monday). It offers excellent support and a deeper, more cushioned feel than many others. Infused with cooling gel, it helps regulate temperature for a more comfortable night’s sleep. The flippable design adds versatility, though it lacks a cover and corner straps, which may lead to shifting. Temperature-sensitive foam means the topper feels softer when warm and firmer in cooler conditions. Weighing 15 pounds, it provides average warmth retention and a balanced blend of comfort and support.

One of the best features of the Eufy C10 T2292 is its slim design, which enables it to access hard-to-reach areas under desks, beds, and other low-profile furniture. It’s quiet, good at picking up debris from bare, uncarpeted floors, and has brush rolls that are easy to remove and clean. Already competitively priced from the start, this discount represents the lowest price we’ve seen for this model this year.

Glamburg bath towels are very soft, and a set of four for this price is certainly a value. They are on the smaller side, measuring 27 inches wide by 54 inches long, and after 10 washes, they showed some signs of shrinkage along the borders. However, they received high marks in our tests for softness and drying time, making them one of the most highly rated options we tested. There are numerous other colors to choose from, all at similar prices.

The Ring Stick Up Cam (Battery) is an all-around great camera, and it’s currently available at the lowest price we’ve ever seen. It works both indoors and outdoors and gives you activity zones, voice and app control via Amazon Alexa, and alert schedules so that you can silence alerts at certain times of day. In our tests, this Ring camera receives strong scores for daytime video quality, response time, and data security. Cloud video storage and additional features (such as person detection) require a Ring Home subscription.

The portable Blue Pure 211i Max does a terrific job removing dust, pollen, and smoke on its higher setting, but expect a bit of noise. Try it on low, and you’ll have more quiet while still experiencing top-notch results. This model is designed for use in a large space of 350 to 650 square feet and costs about $109 a year to maintain. It also weighs just 17 pounds, making it easy to move around. 

Herschel makes one of our favorite duffel bags, and its carry-on offering, the Heritage Hardshell, also performed well in our tests. The Heritage is a great choice if you’re looking for a less expensive hardshell that will stand out in an airport. With the Herschel tag on the outside, it’ll be easier to recognize than other plain luggage. It also got the highest scores for construction quality and safety, and performed well in our impact resistance test.
