    Vacuums and Floor Care

When it comes to cleaning, the Dyson 360 vis nav is hard to beat. It’s stellar at capturing debris and dust from carpets, a task that many robot vacuums struggle with. It has strong suction power and is less likely to scatter trash around while cleaning than other bots we tested. It has a quick charging time of under 2 hours. The Dyson 360 vis nav is typically priced around $1,000, so now’s a good time to snag this vacuum at a steep discount of 60 percent off.

The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Lite VS80F28DMP/AA is a good vacuum to have if you don’t have a ton of carpets in your home. It’s only decent at sucking debris from carpets, but it’s very good on bare floors and even better at picking up pet hair. It comes with a station that charges the vacuum and automatically empties its dust bin. The model is currently selling near the lowest price we’ve seen in the past three months, making this a deal worth acting on.

    Pillows

The Beckham Luxury Linens Hotel Collection Pillows’ price is back down to a great low point. It has a 100 percent cotton cover and a 100 percent polyester gel-fiber filling. The pillow excelled our test for breathability, so it should help keep you cool; it also scored top marks for resiliency, ensuring it maintains its shape over time. This price is for a set of two, providing even more value.

This adjustable-fill pillow from Layla combines polyurethane foam with kapok—the feather-like fiber derived from the seed pods of the kapok tree, known for being a vegan alternative to down. Our tests find that the model lives up to the material’s reputation, offering top-notch breathability in a soft and rather resilient package. Despite not having cooling properties as its name suggests, the pillow does not retain warmth. And while it offers stellar support for side sleepers, back sleepers are also well served by this pick.

Coop’s Original Pillow is one of the best in CR’s ratings, excelling in CR’s tests for side and back support and resilience, and earning a very good rating for breathability. The other Coop pillow we tested, the Cool+ Adjustable Classic, does well too, giving you another option to explore if you have different style sleepers in your household. Coop’s sheets also earn CR’s recommendation.

    Sheets

Cool, breathable, and incredibly soft, the Buffy Breeze Sheet Set is a standout among synthetic fiber options. It earns top marks for fit and softness and holds up well in tests for shrinkage, strength, and wrinkling. Designed for mattresses up to 14 inches deep, these eucalyptus-based sheets stay smooth, stay put, and even include directional tags to make bed-making a breeze (no pun intended).

    Comforters and Duvets

    Buffy Cloud Comforter

    Buffy Cloud Comforter

Buffy’s Cloud Comforter is the softest choice in our at-home assessment, and it’s back down to the lowest price we’ve seen. Thanks to its smooth, silky feel and fluffiness, the duvet is comfortable enough to use without a duvet cover. Made of recycled materials, it’s uniformly stuffed in layers to prevent clumping and shedding. The shell material is 100 percent sateen-weave Tencel lyocell. The price below is for the all-season queen comforter, but other sizes and weights offer similar savings.

    Brooklinen Down Comforter

    Brooklinen Down Comforter

Brooklinen’s down comforter stands out for its high-quality construction, ultra-soft feel, and excellent temperature regulation. Available in both down and down-alternative options, it comes in lightweight, all-season, or ultra-warm varieties. The all-season down version is cozy and breathable, with no noticeable clumping or feather leakage. Its sateen shell adds a touch of luxury, and features a grid design and corner ties to keep it in place. Though pricey—about $400 for a queen—it’s a worthwhile investment for those seeking top-tier comfort. It’s an even better value during Cyber Monday. The typical sale price is 20 percent for smaller holidays, so you’re saving an extra 5 percent right now.

    Mattresses

If you’re looking for a soft mattress, the Casper Dream is a solid pick, providing pressure relief and comfort to those who need it. It was recently about $100 less, but this is still a nice discount. In our lab evaluation, we found the model—a newbie to CR’s ratings—to be a standout for petite back sleepers, and it serves all other sizes and positions very well. The Dream scores well for durability, too, so you can expect to get sound sleep on it for eight to 10 years. If you sleep with a partner, you should feel very little vibration from their movement. CR members give Casper mattresses high marks for comfort and owner satisfaction. This price is for the twin size, but you’ll get similar savings on other sizes in this sale.

The Layla Essential foam mattress, which is 9 inches thick, is a great lower-cost option if you’re in the market for a firm mattress. It earns CR’s top ratings for petite and average back sleepers and near-perfect scores for large back sleepers and petite side sleepers. Average and large side sleepers would find better support elsewhere, though. The mattress receives a firmness rating of 7 out of 10 in our tests. You may feel some vibrations from a fellow sleeper’s shifts; the model earns only a middling stability score. This mattress also doesn’t retain heat. In our member surveys, Layla mattresses earn solid scores for comfort and owner satisfaction.

    Mattress Toppers

This 3-inch memory foam mattress topper is still available for the same low price we saw on Prime Day. It offers excellent support and a deeper, more cushioned feel than many others. Infused with cooling gel, it helps regulate temperature for a more comfortable night’s sleep. The flippable design adds versatility, though it lacks a cover and corner straps, which may lead to shifting. Temperature-sensitive foam means the topper feels softer when warm and firmer in cooler conditions. Weighing 15 pounds, it provides average warmth retention and a balanced blend of comfort and support.

    Dehumidifiers

For smaller spaces, if quiet is a main consideration, check out the Midea MAD20S1QWT. It makes less noise than any model in our ratings while also earning standout scores for water removal, convenience, and humidistat accuracy. This dehumidifier is relatively energy-efficient and includes some nice features, such as a timer and an auto-restart function that turns the machine back on at its previous settings after a power outage. It also comes with a hose to divert water to a drain. Midea’s dehumidifiers received a very favorable rating for reliability and a midlevel rating for owner satisfaction in CR’s member surveys.

The medium-capacity Midea MAD35S1QWT is a top performer in our ratings, which can remove 35 pints of moisture from the air per day. It aces our water removal, energy efficiency, and convenience tests. It also earns an excellent score for noise, making it one of the quietest models in this category and earning it the title of the highest-scoring dehumidifier. This model is equipped with a digital display, a built-in water pump, and a timer. As a dehumidifier brand, Midea received a very favorable reliability rating and a midlevel rating for owner satisfaction in CR’s member surveys.

    Humidifiers

The Babymoov Hygro (+) is the highest-rated humidifier for small rooms in our evaluation, and for good reason. It’s quiet, energy-efficient, and produces high moisture output. The Hygro (+) comes with a humidistat that controls the humidity level, as well as seven different colors of night light.

This humidifier, rated for small rooms, is a fantastic balance of quality and price. It’s plenty capable, and it has an indicator when the water level is low, so it’s easy to know when you need to add more (and it shuts off automatically if you don’t get there in time).

    Clothes Steamers

Conair Turbo ExtremeSteam Steam & Press with Turbo GS59X

Conair Turbo ExtremeSteam Steam & Press with Turbo GS59X

The Conair GS59X does a good job evening out rumples in thin cotton dress shirts, but like most handheld steamers, it struggles with creases. It took about 12 minutes to steam a button-up shirt, and I couldn’t handle a more challenging linen shirt. This steamer did a satisfactory job in our evaluations across the board, including for steam power (16.62 grams per minute), heat time (1 minute), and run time (13 minutes). The tank is relatively easy to fill, and the steamer can operate vertically and horizontally.

    Packing Cubes

    Bagail 8 Set Packing Cubes

    Bagail 8 Set Packing Cubes

The Bagail 8 Set Packing Cubes won CR’s evaluator over with the sheer number and variety of cubes it offers. In addition to three packing cubes (medium, large, and extra-large) that have mesh on the top panels to help you identify the contents inside quickly, it also comes with two zipper bags, a cosmetics bag, a shoe bag, and a drawstring bag that you can use to separate your dirty laundry. The extra organizational features were ultimately what gained Bagail the edge over the other packing cubes CR tried.

    Veken Packing Cubes

    Veken Packing Cubes

Veken Packing Cubes provide great bang for your buck, though they are a few dollars more than we’ve seen recently. This set has the largest capacity among the cubes we tried, and you get eight different ones to stay organized: four small, medium, large, and extra-large, a laundry bag, a shoe bag, a toiletries bag, and an accessories bag. The laundry bag, in particular, is on the larger side, which can be a real asset when you’re on a longer trip.

    Label Makers

    Phomemo M110 Label Maker

    Phomemo M110 Label Maker

The Phomemo M110, now at its best price, is the bigger, bulkier version of the Phomemo D30, which we also evaluated and liked. The M110 offers a bit more flexibility with the size of the label you’re creating. It uses the same app, and has a wide variety of fonts, styles, and images, with quick creation and easy label cutting. Its size, compared with the smaller Phomemo, makes it a bit less portable, and its alignment isn’t as precise when it comes to cutting the label exactly on the cut line compared with other label printers. But it’s still a solid option.

    Garbage Disposals

Perhaps not the most giftable item, but maybe more of a necessity, the 1.25-hp Frigidaire FF13DISPC1 continuous-feed garbage disposal excelled in our tests, quickly and (fairly) quietly grinding scraps into small particles that won’t cause clogs. The 13-pound disposal comes with a 10-year warranty, a removable splash guard, and a plug-in power cord. A magnetic ring prevents utensils from falling inside, and antimicrobial protection guards against odors.

    Tools and Yard Care

If you need a leaf blower for light-duty work, the Worx WG585 can move leaves and other light debris quickly and with ease. The leaf blower itself is also light, at just over 6 pounds. If you’ve invested in other 40-volt tools from Worx, now’s a good time to add a leaf blower to your arsenal.

The Greenworks 2600602 packs a serious punch for such a small tool. At a mere 15 pounds, it can go places you’d never bring your full-sized snow blower, like up a flight of stairs or onto an elevated deck. That makes it the perfect companion to a larger machine or a good fit for anyone in an area that seldom sees more than a few inches of snow.

    Washers and Dryers

If minimalist washers are your style, consider the LG Signature WM9900HSA front-loader. Recently introduced, it offers a minimalist brushed-steel design with an intuitive LCD touchscreen, a generous 5.8-cubic-foot capacity, 26 wash programs, and AI technology that automatically detects fabrics and load size and selects the ideal settings for both the washer and its companion dryer. It also has an auto dispenser that releases detergent for up to 36 loads before refilling and can be operated remotely through its app. The price on this machine was $200 less for Labor Day, but this is still a good buy.

We did not test the LG WM4000HWA, but it’s similar to the discontinued WM3900HWA, which cleans like a champ, so we expect it to demonstrate the same excellent washing performance, energy efficiency, and water efficiency of its predecessor. Wash time on a normal/heavy soil cycle is 85 minutes, relatively speedy for a front-loader. With a claimed capacity of 4.5 cubic feet, the model can tackle big loads. The WiFi-enabled washer is also quiet, so you can feel confident about placing it near a living area. Best of all, this is the lowest price we’ve seen all year.

The LG DLGX5501W offers great performance and some nice extras at a moderate price, and it’s only $30 more than its best price. It scores admirably in our tests for drying performance, convenience, and noise, and offers a steam option, extended tumble, and WiFi capability—and it’s our top-rated dryer. Its stainless steel drum has a 7.4-cubic-foot capacity. In our surveys, CR members rank LG gas dryers at the top for both reliability and owner satisfaction.

    Towels

Brooklinen’s Black Friday sale is here, and they’re offering a 25 percent sitewide discount, which is markedly better than the 20 percent discount we tend to see for minor savings events. The Dreamweave Waffle Bath Towels rank among the best of all the bath towels we’ve tested. Of the top three bath towels, they’re the second softest, but they took longer to dry than the other two. This price is for a set of two.

Want to cuddle up in your bath towel? Get the Brooklinen Super-Plush (sold in a pair), available at 25 percent off for Black Friday. These guys are huge: At a whopping, superheavy 820 grams per square meter, and being 53 inches long and 28 inches wide, the Brooklinen towel is what you want to wrap yourself in when the temps are below freezing and the thought of stepping out of a steaming warm shower onto ice-cold tile floors chills your heart. These towels were the most absorbent in our evaluation, but they also took the longest to dry.

    Air Purifiers

The portable Blue Pure 211i Max does a terrific job removing dust, pollen, and smoke on its higher setting, but expect a bit of noise. Try it on low, and you’ll have more quiet while still experiencing top-notch results. This model is designed for use in a large space of 350 to 650 square feet and costs about $109 a year to maintain. It also weighs just 17 pounds, making it easy to move around. While we’ve seen this model selling for less in recent months, it’s still a nice discount.

The Blueair Blue Pure 311i Max Air Purifier features an indicator light to alert you when you need to change or clean the filter. It also has a dirt sensor and four speeds. On its higher setting, it’s terrific at removing dust, pollen, and smoke, but expect a bit of noise. It’s easy to use, and is designed for use in a large space of 350 to 650 square feet. CR members find Blueair air purifiers to be highly reliable, and they’re very satisfied with their purchases.

If you don’t mind some noise, this portable air purifier from GermGuardian is a solid option. CR testers found that it’s particularly effective at removing dust, pollen, and smoke particles from the air when operating at high speed. But the unit is pricey to maintain because the replacement filters are relatively expensive. The model features a convenient carrying handle, easy-to-use controls, and a programmable timer.

The Levoit PlasmaPro 600S is a solid performer all-around, clearing the air of dust, pollen, and smoke at both higher and lower settings with great results. It’s noisy while running at a high speed, but it’s relatively quiet at low speeds, making it ideal for an office or bedroom. And you don’t have to worry about keeping track of filter changes: An indicator light alerts you when it’s time. This machine also has a dust sensor and a programmable timer.

    Room Fans

    Room Fan

    Dreo Air Circulator PolyFan 311

    Dreo Air Circulator PolyFan 311

The Dreo Air Circulator PolyFan 311 is a sleek-looking fan that has the most features of all the room fans we evaluated, and its unique design makes it even more of a standout. It had the largest speed range, covering the lowest and highest speeds of the group. It also had the largest number of settings—eight in total—including four oscillating modes, among others. Its wind speed ranges from 2.1 to 6.4 meters per second, so you can feel good about its ability to cool down a larger space. Even better: It achieved this while placing second on our list of best energy-conserving fans.
