    Begley's 3-in-1 Wrinkle Release

    Begley's 3-in-1 Wrinkle Release

In our tests, Begley’s excelled at eliminating static cling. Though the brand says it’s an unscented formula, we detected a very faint, light floral fragrance. It’s 15 percent off.

    Bounce Instant Static Remover+

    Bounce Instant Static Remover+

This spray did a good job at removing static electricity from toddler socks and microfiber cloths, but note that the scent is very strong. It’s discounted 15 percent.

    Caulk

    Flex Seal Flex Caulk

    Flex Seal Flex Caulk

This caulk aced four of our five tests and didn’t crack when exposed to hot and cold temperatures. It’s marked down 15 percent.

    Cleaning & Disinfecting Wipes

Tub O'Towels Heavy Duty Cleaning Wipes

Tub O'Towels Heavy Duty Cleaning Wipes

Tub O’Towel Heavy-Duty Cleaning Wipes are big enough for heavy-duty cleaning and reusing. Dried-up sweet potato, milk, hot sauce, and rice were no match for these wipes. They were also easy to dispense from the tub. This is a modest discount, but it’s a great product at any price so you might as well save where you can.

    Dish Soap

    Dawn Ultra Dishwashing Soap

    Dawn Ultra Dishwashing Soap

This dish soap from Dawn is our top pick because of the amount of thick suds it creates and the number of dishes we were able to wash with just a half tablespoon of this soap. We found this soap easy to dispense, with a pleasant and fresh fragrance. Take advantage of saving $1.50 on this fantastic dish soap.

    Nellie's Dish Butter

    Nellie's Dish Butter

Choosing a soap bar like Nellie’s Dish Butter, which was our top choice for dish soap bars, helps you cut down on plastic waste and still get your dishes, pots, and pans squeaky clean. This one created a nice amount of suds and boasted an herbal scent that we found pleasant and not overpowering.

    Dishwasher Detergent

For a middling price, Finish Powerball Ultimate dishwasher pods deliver above-average results in our tests, with excellent scores in both cleaning dishes and resisting film and mineral deposits. They also ward off water spots. They include scum-fighting enzymes, but no bleach.

Not only will this Amazon brand save you money, but these pods will leave dishes clean and free of water spots and film. On Black Friday, they’re on sale for 46 percent off their retail price.

    Facial Tissue

    Presto! Ultra-Soft Facial Tissue

    Presto! Ultra-Soft Facial Tissue

This three-ply facial tissue from Presto! stood out for its absorbency, but it wasn’t as strong or tear-resistant as other tissues. However, it felt soft in hand and was easy to pull out from its packaging.

A four-pack of these tissues will support you through flu season and is currently being offered at 10 percent off.

    Flushable Wipes

    Amazon Basics Flushable Wipes

    Amazon Basics Flushable Wipes

Amazon Basics Flushable Wipes were our top pick because they cleaned well (even sticky hands), dried quickly on the skin, and retained moisture in their packaging better than most others. They’re 16 percent off.

    Cottonelle Flushable Wipes

    Cottonelle Flushable Wipes

These flushable wipes from Cottonelle were the easiest to dispense from their packaging and had a high tensile strength in our tests. These also boast a light fragrance. There’s a great deal now—a 27 percent discount.

    Glass Cleaners

    Windex Original Glass Cleaner

    Windex Original Glass Cleaner

This well-known cleaner left mirrors, windows, stovetops, and glass shower doors absolutely flawless in our testing. It is made with ammonia, so avoid using it on tinted windows or other surfaces that may be damaged.

    Grout Cleaners

    Star Drops The Pink Stuff

    Star Drops The Pink Stuff

We liked The Pink Stuff for small areas because it cleaned one tester’s shower grout nicely, but you do have to spread around a lot of paste, which we think could get messier in larger areas. It’s discounted 17 percent.

Clorox Plus Tilex Mold & Mildew Remover

Clorox Plus Tilex Mold & Mildew Remover

This grout cleaner works well and doesn’t require scrubbing (yay!), but be warned that it has a strong bleach smell. It’s marked down 8 percent.

    Laundry Detergent, Pods, and Sheets

Persil Free & Sensitive Liquid Laundry Detergent

Persil Free & Sensitive Liquid Laundry Detergent

Persil Sensitive liquid laundry detergent is a Green Choice product, meaning it has a lower environmental and health impact based on its ingredients, certifications, and packaging recyclability. In our tests, it excelled at removing chocolate stains from fabrics. It also handled body oil, dirt, and blood very well.

    Earth Breeze Liquidless Eco Sheets

    Earth Breeze Liquidless Eco Sheets

In our tests, detergent sheets disappointed in their lack of performance. Of the brands we tested, this was the best one, earning passable ratings for dirt removal.

    Multipurpose Cleaners

    Mr. Clean Clean Freak

    Mr. Clean Clean Freak

We chose Mr. Clean as our favorite multipurpose cleaner because it effortlessly cleaned most surfaces we purposely made dirty, meets EPA Safer Product Standards, and features a “power nozzle” that gives the user a unique amount of control over how much spray they add to surfaces. The other cleaners emit the same amount of spray each time, but this one can spray a short, medium, or continuous burst of cleaner.

Presto All Purpose Cleaner, Real Lemon Scent

Presto All Purpose Cleaner, Real Lemon Scent

This cleaner effectively tackled grease and sticky surfaces in our tests. We didn’t love its scent—which was pungent for lavender—but we found that its nozzle delivered a large amount of spray, so our cleaning tasks took less time.

    7th Generation All Purpose Cleaner

    7th Generation All Purpose Cleaner

This multipurpose cleaner was our pick for the best streak-free cleaner, thanks to its excellent performance on cleaning stainless steel appliances. It is recognized by the EPA’s Safer Choice program, and it boasts a lemon and chamomile scent.

    Paper Towels

    Amazon Basics Flex-sheets Paper Towels

    Amazon Basics Flex-sheets Paper Towels

These paper towels were very easy to tear from the roll, but that was the only thing we liked about them. They’re on sale for 16 percent off.

    Quart Bags

    GreeneWrap Compostable Zip Quart Bags

    GreeneWrap Compostable Zip Quart Bags

These compostable bags felt like a luxury to use. They performed amazingly well in our leak tests and feature a calendar, allowing you to mark dates and ensure your food remains fresh. Although they weren’t the easiest bags to open and close, they impressed us with their strength and durability. They are marked down 23 percent.

    Ziploc Storage Quart Bags

    Ziploc Storage Quart Bags

Although hard to close, these are very sturdy bags, and make a great option for parents with toddlers who have a penchant for throwing their snacks. We love their stand-up bottom, which makes it easier to add foods without making a mess. These are perfect for food prep and leftovers.

    Toilet Paper

    Amazon Basics Bath Tissue

    Amazon Basics Bath Tissue

This is an incredibly low price for 37 rolls of toilet paper. In CR’s tests, we found that this two-ply option produced less lint than most, and is soft with a light texture on both sides. We crowned it our favorite budget TP.

    Reel Bamboo Toilet Paper

    Reel Bamboo Toilet Paper

This bamboo toilet paper was an all-around winner: sturdy, easy to start a roll, and individually wrapped in stylish paper. It’s not the softest—but on the other hand, it’s not linty. This three-ply paper comes in a pack of 12 rolls.
