This air fryer receives top scores for its ease of cleaning and noise, and a very good score for ease of use, which reflects how easy it is to set your desired time and temperature.

The Cuisinart AIR-200 is a large air fryer with very good scores in CR’s tests for ease of cleaning, convenience, and noise. It has a window and an interior light, allowing you to keep an eye on your food without pulling out the drawer and losing heat. There’s also a toss reminder to help you ensure that your food is evenly cooked. This air fryer comes with a three-year warranty, which is more generous than you’d get with many other models.

We found the Gourmia GAF686 Digital’s controls are exceptionally easy to use, plus it receives very good scores for ease of cleaning and noise. It has a digital display, dishwasher-safe parts, and pre-programmed settings. But it’s worth noting that this model may run hot (when we set it to 350° F, we measured the temperature at 365° F). We’ve seen this air fryer at a lower price in the recent past, but this is still a good deal.

The Instant Vortex Plus 140-3089-01 air fryer earns an excellent score in our evaluation of its controls and receives very good scores for ease of cleaning and noise. We measured its capacity to be 5.2 quarts, meaning it can hold enough to feed a family. It has pre-programmed settings, a cooking window and light, plus an “odor erase” feature that could be handy if you plan to air fry onion rings or other potentially smelly foods. We’ve seen this air fryer at a slightly lower price in the recent past, but if you want a large air fryer now, this is still a worthy deal.

The Typhur Dome AF03 is a large-capacity air fryer with pre-programmed settings, including a dehydrating mode, and WiFi connectivity, allowing you to control it with your smartphone. It has a digital display and dishwasher-safe parts. It’s also one of the quietest air fryers in our tests, and it aces our ease of cleaning tests, which we conduct after air-frying chicken nuggets and french fries. There have been deals just as good on this air fryer in the past year, but if you’ve missed them and need a big air fryer, now may be the right time to buy.

The Cuisinart PerfecTemp 14 Cup Programmable DCC-3200 is $15 less than it was on Black Friday. It’s an excellent overall choice based on CR’s tests, and its brew performance, an indicator of taste, was stellar. We also found it convenient to use, and the carafe was easy to hold and pour from. What’s more, Cuisinart, as a coffee maker brand, showed excellent owner satisfaction in CR’s member surveys (meaning owners of this brand’s machines are likely to recommend their model to friends and family), as well as a very good score for predicted reliability (which reflects the likelihood that an owner will experience a problem with their machine in their first four years of ownership). The discount isn’t too shabby either.

The Keurig K-Supreme is a scaled-down version of the Keurig K-Supreme Plus Smart, and we expect both to perform similarly. They are among the K-Cup creator’s top-of-the-line brewers showcasing the brand’s latest features. The baseline version now on sale offers four different brew sizes and an over-ice brew mode. This Black Friday/Cyber Monday price is the best we’ve seen all year.

Here’s another one: This is the best price we’ve seen all year on the single-serve Nespresso Creatista Plus—and it still costs a pretty penny. In our tests, this coffee maker delivered each cup of coffee quickly and consistently. In addition to its pod coffee convenience, it comes with a milk frother for drinks like lattés and cappuccinos. Nespresso is a top-scoring brand for owner satisfaction in CR’s member surveys, which reflect how likely owners are to recommend their coffee maker to friends and family.

The Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima earns very good scores in our tests for first-cup speed, repeat cup speed, and convenience, and offers controls for brew size and strength, giving it a very good score for brewing range. This machine may be pricey, but it comes with a built-in milk frother and a 16-ounce carafe. Nespresso machines do require Nespresso capsules, which are more expensive than K-Cups, but considering owners’ satisfaction with their Nespresso machines, the cost may be worth it for the coffee connoisseur in your life. 

The Café Specialty Drip (C7CDAAS3PD3) offers WiFi connectivity, enabling control through Alexa and Google and making it a smart addition to a connected home. We found that this coffee maker was very good at brewing coffee for optimal taste, and it was also easy to clean. This is the best price we’ve seen on this coffee maker in the last several months—and at Amazon, it just dropped an additional $30, marking a truly stellar deal.

The Technivorm Moccamaster KBT(79112) is an unconventional-looking drip coffee maker that has a thermal carafe and takes a cone-type filter. And you can expect good flavor for your beans from this machine, considering that, in our tests, it earns a very good score for brew performance (a coffee maker’s ability to brew coffee between 195° F and 205° F for five or six minutes, resulting in optimal taste). It earns mediocre scores for convenience and carafe handling, yet Technivorm is a rare brand of coffee maker that receives excellent scores for predicted reliability and owner satisfaction in CR’s member surveys.

For those who want the option to make espresso drinks and drip coffee in one machine, the DeLonghi All-in-One (COM532M) might be worth considering. It earns very good scores in our convenience and carafe handling evaluations, though its score for brew performance was just mediocre, and it took 10 minutes to brew a pot. The espresso side, paired with a milk frother, may be what makes this purchase worthwhile. This isn’t the lowest price we’ve seen on this model, but this discount still reflects substantial savings.

It may come as a surprise, but the Mr. Coffee Compact Espresso machine beat out all the other budget espresso machines in a recent evaluation. Our team found it easy to use, and it produced smooth espresso shots and good-quality foamed milk using its built-in steam wand. It was so simple and intuitive, according to our panel, that even an espresso-making novice had no trouble producing a shot. We even found that this model made better-tasting shots than more expensive models.

We found the KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine was impressively well-built, especially given its budget-friendly price. It may take some getting used to for beginners, but we found that it produced reliably good espresso shots. This model comes with numerous accessories, including a milk jug for steaming (the only model we evaluated that offered this).

The price at Amazon is exceptional right now, dropping about $25 since Black Friday.

The All-Clad KZ750D immersion blender shows excellent overall performance in our tests, including very good results when blending frozen fruit and yogurt for smoothies. Plus, it aced our soup purée tests, in which we use a series of sieves to evaluate how smoothly the blender purees vegetables and water. It operates at variable speeds, including a turbo speed, and comes with a one-year warranty. We saw a better deal than this one last Black Friday, but this is still a significant discount.

The GE G8H1AASSPSS immersion blender was excellent at pureeing ingredients for soup in our tests. We grated cheese using the included chopper attachment and saw very good results in that test as well. (It was mediocre, though, at blending yogurt and frozen peaches and strawberries for smoothies.) This two-speed immersion blender also comes with a whisk, which could be handy for whipping cream.

The NutriBullet Ultra NB50500 personal blender could be a good choice for those who want to make smoothies to go. It comes with a 32-ounce cup, a 24-ounce cup, a 24-ounce handled cup, and two to-go lids. Plus, it’s dishwasher-safe. This blender earns excellent scores in our tests for making icy drinks and purees, and for its durability.

The Amazon Basics Stainless Steel Electric Kettle earns an excellent Overall Score in CR’s tests. It can boil up to four cups, and it earned very good scores in our time to boil, time to cool, and convenience evaluations. 

A stand mixer like the KitchenAid Artisan Series KSM195PSBK is a prized possession on many bakers’ countertops. This stand mixer earns an excellent score for whipping time in whipped-cream tests and an excellent score in our mixing tests, where we observe how much a mixer labors when mixing thick chocolate-chip cookie dough. It comes with a stainless steel bowl with a handle, a whisk, and a dough hook. This model can also run attachments like a pasta maker or spiralizer, bought separately.

With more than 120 years in the business, Lodge knows a thing or two about cast iron. As a result, the Lodge Essential Enamel Cast Iron Dutch oven turns out bread that’s nicely browned and crispy, earning a very good rating in our bread-baking test, and it’s oven safe up to 500°F. Cooking evenness and speed of heating are also very good, cleanup is a breeze, and it’s dishwasher safe. This Dutch oven weighs 13 pounds and has a 7-inch cooking surface diameter. 

The Our Place Always Pan 2.0 is one of the top-rated nonstick frying pans in CR’s tests. We find that it cooks evenly, and its handle is sturdy and is cool enough to the touch that you won’t need a potholder every time you reach for it. Its nonstick food release is very good, and it earns a very good score in our nonstick durability test. This pan is induction-compatible, the manufacturer says it’s oven safe to 450° F, and it’s on sale for about 25 percent off for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. 

You can expect even cooking and easy cleaning with the Hestan ProBond Professional Clad 8.5-inch frying pan, based on our lab tests. Our testers found that four eggs cooked consecutively with oil slid off the pan without even a nudge. This pan is dishwasher safe—and oven safe to 600° F, meaning it can easily withstand the high heat of a broiler. However, keep in mind that it’s on the smaller side among the pans in our ratings; most of the ones we’ve tested are approximately 10 inches.

You can expect even heating and a steady sauce simmer from the nonstick Cuisinart GreenGourmet Hard Anodized GG-12 set, which received excellent scores in our tests for those tasks. We also found it a breeze to slide eggs out of this pan one after another with no oil at all. Even after scouring these pans for our nonstick durability tests to simulate years of use, nonstick properties still show good performance. You can also expect handles to stay sturdily attached, a quality not always found in inexpensive cookware. One possible downside: It’s only oven-safe up to 400° F.

You can consistently expect quick and easy cleanup with the GreenPan Bobby Flay Chef Series Hard Anodized 10-Piece set. That’s because this pan excelled in our lab tests for nonstick food release and nonstick durability. It also aced our cooking evenness and sauce simmer tests. Where this set falls short is in handle sturdiness, meaning its handles are less likely to stand the test of time compared with sets that score higher for this measure. This set, which has been available for about a year, is currently at the best price we’ve ever seen.

The Cuisinart Contour 13-piece cookware set is one example of a stainless set that cleans up easily, earning an excellent score in our ease of cleaning tests. It also earns excellent scores for speed of heating and cooking evenness. Another handy feature is the etched measurement markings on the inside of the pots. Priced at around $100 off its original price, this is quite a deal.

For the gift-giver looking to impress, the Hestan ProBond Professional Cladd set is the priciest stainless steel cookware set in CR’s ratings, and it’s now 20 percent off. This set receives excellent scores for speed of heating and cooking evenness. And for those nervous that stainless steel may cause food to stick, never fear: it also receives an excellent score for food release, meaning eggs cooked with oil slid off the pan with little to no effort in our lab tests. You may want to have a potholder at the ready when cooking, though, because its score for handle temperature is just so-so. This 10-piece set comes with a lifetime warranty.

In CR’s tests, the Breville the Sous Chef 16 BFP810 received very good scores for shredding, grating, and chopping, and its slicing performance was excellent. It has a wide feed tube to handle larger chunks of food. Its accessories include a mini bowl insert with its own chopping blade, a dough blade, a french fry and Julienne disc, disc organizer, and cord storage. It comes with a 30-year motor warranty and a 2-year warranty on all other parts. This is the best deal we’ve seen on this food processor since Black Friday 2024.

Breville’s The Paradice 9 BFP638 aces CR’s tests for chopping, slicing, and shredding, though its grating isn’t as great. It does have a generous 9-cup capacity, though, which is handy if you tend to cook for a crowd. The 625-watt food processor comes with separate shredding, slicing, and dough blades. There’s a 30-year warranty on its motor and a two-year warranty on other parts.

The GE G8P1AASSPSS food processor could be a good option for those who frequently have large slicing and shredding jobs. It has a 12-cup capacity and excels at those tasks. It also receives a very good score for chopping, but does less well when grating and puréeing, the latter being a task better suited for a blender. This food processor comes with a dough blade, and separate discs for slicing, shredding, julienning, grating, and emulsifying.

This was a nice price for Black Friday, but it just dropped another $9 at Amazon for Cyber Monday.

The 500-watt KitchenAid KFP1318BM food processor masters our tests for chopping and shredding, and it’s one of the lower-priced options with a fairly large claimed capacity of 13 cups. Of the big guys, it’s the lightest, weighing just 8.3 pounds (less than half the weight of some of the other models we’ve tested). That makes it a compelling choice if you plan to store it in a cabinet and lift it out for each use. One downside: The parts and motor are covered by just a one-year warranty. We’ve seen better deals on this food processor in the past year, but this discount of over 20 percent makes it a worthy purchase right now.

The Zojirushi NP-GBC05 Induction Heating System rice cooker may be pricey, but in CR’s tests, it receives an excellent score for convenience and a very good score for its controls. It also receives a very good score for how well it cooks one cup and three cups of rice. This rice cooker is the only one in our ratings that employs an induction heating system that turns the pot itself into a heating element, surrounding the rice with heat instead of relying on heat radiating from the bottom like most other rice cookers.

The price dropped about $5 since Black Friday, but we’ve seen it for $15 less recently.

The Cuisinart CPT-435 Countdown Metal 4-Slice toaster is similar to the Cuisinart CPT-415 Countdown Metal 2-Slice that we’ve tested in our labs, and we expect it to perform virtually the same. In our tests, the 2-slice toaster receives an excellent score for color range. You can also expect even browning whether you’re making one slice or a full batch, and it’ll get the job done quickly, based on our test results. We find it easy to use, but like many toasters we test, it earned a mediocre score for ease of cleaning.

The Hamilton Beach Gourmet 22996 2-Slice toaster is a relatively simple and straightforward toaster compared to some of the more souped-up models we’ve tested, but it does an excellent job all around in our toaster tests. You can expect a single slice and a full batch to come out evenly browned, and because of its color range performance, you can expect it to achieve your desired toast color, whether that’s very light or very dark.

The top-scoring Hamilton Beach 31156 is the only toaster oven in our ratings to excel in all of our tests for toast, plus it does a solid job at baking. It has a novel design: two bread slots for toasting, as you’d find on a dedicated toaster, and a small oven cavity underneath. For those who prioritize toast but want basic toaster oven features, this model may be the right pick.
