Small Appliances
Ninja GR101 Smokeless Indoor Grill
Grill foods evenly indoors on this Ninja GR101 Smokeless Indoor Grill. It features an adjustable temperature control, interchangeable grill and griddle plates, and a removable and washable mesh lid that helps reduce smoke.
The KitchenAid Architect KHM7210 7-Speed hand mixer comes in five colors, including the brand’s familiar Empire Red, but check before ordering to make sure the color you want is included in the sale. This little handheld is proficient at speedily whipping cream and tackling stiff cookie dough while keeping a lid on the noise level. Our testers found its controls convenient, grip comfortable, and beater insertion a breeze. The model comes with wire beaters and a whisk.
This self-cleaning countertop icemaker makes nine bullet-shaped ice cubes in just 6 minutes. Two of the coolest aspects of this appliance are that you can make large or small ice cubes and it has a self-cleaning function. Choose from seven shades: black, black transparent, green, red, silver, stainless steel, or white.
This icemaker is now at the lowest price we’ve seen all year, beating the previous best price by $10.
If you need a blender for simple meal prep tasks, $this sale might be a good incentive to try Ninja BN701 with Auto iQ—especially because the sale price just dropped $20 compared to what we’ve seen recently, and it’s now $10 less than it’s ever been. This is a 1,400-watt model that our tests confirm purees better than its other functions. The 9-cup blender has seven speeds; presets for smoothies, ice crush and ice cream; and it comes with a removable blade, plastic travel jar, and a recipe guide.
At nearly 50 percent off, this is the best deal on the Cuisinart AIR-200 that we’ve seen so far. This large model has a window and a light so you can see your food cooking, and its large six-quart capacity means there’s enough room to cook for a crowd or to air fry an entire meal. Touchscreen controls come with five cooking pre-sets, including one for frozen snacks and one for leftovers, and a toss reminder alerts you when it’s time to flip your food. The AIR-200 also comes with a generous three-year warranty.
The NuWave Brio is now at the lowest price it’s ever been, and we don’t expect it to go any lower. It has especially easy-to-use controls that make it easy to adjust temperature and time during the cooking process. In our tests, we also found it to be pretty quiet when operating. Its measured capacity is 2.9 quarts, so it’s not the right air fryer if you like cooking for a crowd. But it’s perfect for small batches of fries or vegetables, or cooking dinner for one to two people. It comes with an impressive 100 programmed cook settings for specific foods and 50 memory slots where you can save your temperature and cooking time preferences. It’s dishwasher-safe and comes with a one-year warranty.
Prices on the G8BCAASSPSS Personal Blender are constantly fluctuating, but this Black Friday deal is the lowest we’ve seen, so now may be the time to snap one up. If you’re making a smoothie or soup for one, you can rely on this model, which earned top scores in our tests for icy drinks and purees. Plus, it comes with a 20-ounce to-go cup, and its parts are dishwasher safe.

Coffee Makers
The Ninja Hot & Iced can brew full carafes of coffee and any of five single-serving brew sizes, from a small cup of coffee to a large travel mug’s worth. What makes it stand out are its brew styles. Along with a classic and rich setting, it has settings to brew over ice and to make cold brew, which isn’t technically cold brew (in the sense that it isn’t brewed cold over a long period of time), but it brews at a low temperature that gives the coffee a smoother flavor and allows it to chill faster. In our tests, its brew performance was solid, but it really stood out for its convenience—easy operation and cleanup—and its handy carafe. It also has a removable water reservoir, a cleaning indicator, and auto-shutoff.
Sometimes all you need is a reliable, no-frills drip coffee machine that doesn’t break the bank, and the Mr. Coffee 14-Cup Programmable does the trick. Our testers found this machine especially easy to operate and clean, and its carafe handles admirably. Its brew performance isn’t anything special, but it’s solid, with a small-batch setting, a brew strength selector, a permanent filter, and a water filter. You can program it to brew your coffee right when you wake up, and it has a keep-warm function and auto-shutoff.
This Mr. Coffee machine is designed for people who like a lot of different styles of coffee and prioritize flexibility in their coffee maker. It brews both hot and cold coffee in single servings, and it comes with a reusable tumbler, lid, straw, reusable coffee filter, and dual-sided scoop. It’s worth noting that it didn’t perform particularly well in our tests. Its brew performance passed muster, but our testers found it to be fairly difficult to operate and clean. The machine also required some time to cool off between runs, though if you’re using this only for single cups of coffee at a time, that shouldn’t be an issue.
The Braun BrewSense 12-cup Programmable KF7000BK is an all-around great coffee maker, offering strong brew performance, an easy-to-pour carafe, and plenty of convenient features. Those features include auto-shutoff, a water filter, programming, a cleaning indicator, and a permanent filter.
As glass-carafe drip coffee machines go, this Cuisinart drip coffee maker ranks among the best, performing superbly in our brewing tests and really well in our assessments for general handling and convenience. You can program it to brew at a certain time and tailor the brew strength to your desired preferences. An indicator light lets you know when it’s time to clean it. Cuisinart, as a brand, earns high owner-satisfaction and reliability scores for its drip coffee makers.
At just 5 inches wide, the Keurig K-Slim is an especially sleek and compact pod coffee machine that performed admirably in our tests. It brews speedily and consistently in terms of cup size, and our testers found it intuitive to operate and clean. It’s a little inconsistent in terms of temperature. But with four brew sizes, a height-adjustable drip tray, and a removable water reservoir, it’s an efficient and effective coffee maker. It was $20 less recently, but this is still better than full price if you’re looking for a single-serve coffee maker.
The Keurig K-Mini Plus is a great little brewer that’s ideal for small kitchens with limited counter space. In our tests, it receives strong scores for temperature and size consistency between cups, as well as how easy it is to use and clean. It features a removable reservoir, a height-adjustable drip tray, and auto-shutoff.
Vacuums
The Shark Rocket HV301 comes with a 30-foot cord and can be converted into a hand vacuum, adding to its convenience. We found it to be excellent at sucking up debris from bare floors and picking up pet hair. It also does a decent job of cleaning carpets. You’ll be getting this at the lowest price we’ve seen in months.
Not all handheld vacuums can tackle pet hair with aplomb, but the Shark Ion aces that task. It’s also a champ at cleaning bare floors and getting into hard-to-reach places, and it’s not too shabby at cleaning carpet. The vacuum and all its attachments can be stored on the charging base, making it a real space-saver. And at just 1.4 pounds, it’s the lightest hand vac in our tests. The only downside to its small size is the small dust bin, which may have to be emptied more than once if you have a sizable spill.

Headphones
This wireless Bluetooth iPod/iPad/cellphone-centric model from JBL is a solid pick. The JBL Tune 660NC delivers very good sound quality and excellent active noise reduction. These headphones have a closed design, they will provide some muffling and electronic canceling of external noises and also reduce the amount of sound that escapes from the headphones.
The Beats Studio Buds from Beats by Dre deliver great sound quality and superb active noise reduction, which combine elements of in-ear and earbud earphones. These earphones have an isolating design and an ambient sound monitoring feature. They’re best for those who want highly portable earphones that reduce the amount of noise they hear from their surroundings.
This set is back down to the same low price we saw during the last big sale, a $20 drop from its recent discount.
Tech Gear
Apple AirTags (4-Pack)
Much like trackers made by Samsung and Tile, AirTags work best if you’re looking for one within Bluetooth range (roughly 30 feet) of your own phone. But, that said, there are millions of iPhones and other Apple devices roaming around out there that can pick up a signal and discreetly convey it to you when you find yourself searching, say, a park or a school campus for the keys you dropped. Is the tracking pinpoint accurate? No. But it’s close enough to give you a little peace of mind.
This four-pack typically costs $80, so you’re not saving too much, but this is only $3 more than the best price we’ve seen, making it a good deal anyway.
The Amazon Fire TV Cube is a mash-up of an Amazon Echo and a 4K Fire TV streamer. It has Amazon Alexa voice assistant built in, and its universal remote control capabilities let you control a host of other compatible A/V gear, including TVs and soundbars. The updated model has a faster processor, which upscales lower-resolution content to 4K, and HDMI 2.1 connections for controlling other devices using your voice. (One cool trick is that the Cube will also upscale any content from a source connected to its HDMI input.) Other features include WiFi 6E, support for both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ HDR.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2024)
Released just a few weeks ago, this Fire tablet packs a lot of value into an 8-inch package—and that’s before you even consider the low Black Friday price. It doesn’t have high-end features and specs, but if you’re looking to do simple things like stream video, read books, or browse the web on something bigger than your phone, it’s hard to beat. We have yet to finish testing the model but expect it to perform just fine based on the results for the 2022 model.
The main thing that the Canon PIXMA TS7720, an all-in-one inkjet, has going for it is its price. The real street price is closer to $100 than the original $150, but you’re still getting a nice savings here. Our annual estimate of ink cost is $68 a year, pretty typical for a cartridge printer. The lab results it turns in are decent, not extraordinary.
KYY Portable Monitor
Our evaluator found that this monitor from KYY connected easily to her Mac, Windows, Android, iPad, and Switch devices and has the same scroll wheel device for accessing the OSD settings. On the KYY, rich reds look brownish. The folio cover on the KYY doesn’t fold correctly, either, due to weak magnets. Still, if you’re looking for a utilitarian device for extra desktop space and don’t want to spend a lot of money, the KYY Portable Monitor is worth considering.
Those who are looking to save some space—or TV inputs—should consider the Roku Streambar SE, a soundbar that includes a built-in Roku streaming player. Given its small footprint, it probably works best for smaller TVs, not that jumbo-sized set you’ve been eyeing.
Fitbit Inspire 3
If you want a slim fitness tracker that keeps tabs on the basics—like your sleep, step count, heart rate—the Fitbit Inspire 3 is a good buy at this price. It also has a convenient 10-day claimed battery life.

Beauty
Hot Tools Pro Artist Black Gold Evolve Ionic Salon Hair Flat Iron
Hot Tools hair styling tools are a common sight at hair salons and for good reason. Our evaluators found that this flat iron heated up fast and was easy to use. It has variable heat settings to give users more control, and the plates are slightly longer than most straighteners, a feature that could be useful for styling longer hair. It’s important to note that the temperature consistency isn’t reliable and could vary by as much as 20 degrees from the set temperature during use. It has a 2-hour window before it automatically shuts off, so you’ll want to remember to unplug it after every use.
Sleep Accessories
The Coop Home Goods Premium Adjustable Loft Pillow is made of shredded memory foam and excels in our tests for support, no matter your size or sleep position. The Coop also keeps its shape well, showing little to no change in height or fluffiness in our resilience tests. Each pillow comes with extra foam, so you can adjust the filling to your liking. The only area where this pillow falls a bit short is in breathability—it sleeps slightly warm.
A solid value pick, this 3-inch topper from BedStory offers a luxe feel, thanks in part to its removable quilted cover. Lab tests found that its two-layer gel-infused-foam design registers warmer, and an evaluator said that it offers a resilient surface with a medium- to medium-soft feel. Highlights include an inner encasement as well as a machine-washable cover that zips down halfway. A nonslip design on the bottom of the cover gives it an extra bit of stabilization, as do its corner straps. BedStory offers a 10-year warranty on all mattresses and toppers.
This hits just over the $100 mark, but it’s still a nice price.
This sheet set was recently on sale for $116, but just dropped an additional $29, making it a great time to get a new set. You’re going to experience quite a bit of wrinkling with the Hotel Collection Egyptian cotton sheets, but if you don’t mind pulling out the steamer to get your sheets smooth, you have a winner with this set. It provides a great fit for mattresses up to 10 inches thick, and it can withstand quite a bit of stretching and pulling. Plus, it aced our shrinkage test—just one of five cotton sheets in our ratings to do so.
Home Products
Dreo Air Circulator PolyFan 311
In our evaluations, this pick by Dreo was considered the “best pedestal fan” because it has a wide wind-speed range, an adjustable tilt head, and an adjustable height. It was also one of the most energy-efficient fans we tested. It’s sleek-looking and comes with a convenient remote control.
This large dual-mist room humidifier for spaces between 500 and 999 feet does a lot of things well, from output to efficiency to low noise and convenience. It’s got a nightlight as well as an indicator and a shutoff when the tank is empty. It also comes with a remote. We’ve seen it sell for as low as $70, so you might want to hold off to see if the price dips on Black Friday.
The low-priced, ultrasonic Levoit Classic 300S can humidify a room of up to 505 square feet, which earns it a solid rating in our output test. It aces other evaluations too. It has a variety of features including automatic shut-off, a digital humidity display more accurate than those of most competitors, and the option to diffuse aromas.
If you don’t mind the fact that the Bissell TurboClean PowerBrush 2987 Carpet Cleaner is noisy, this model is great at cleaning and will keep your carpets dry. It earned a very good score for convenience and has separate tanks for clean and dirty water.
This mop was $20 less on Black Friday. Our testers give the PurSteam 10-in-1 Therma Pro 211 Steam Mop a top score for cleaning and a solid score for steam production. It slips a bit on convenience; its cord is just 16 feet long, and it lacks a ready indicator light. But it’s light (just 6 pounds when filled) and among the less expensive models in our ratings.
Brooklinen Super Plush Bath Towels
Want to cuddle up in your bath towel? Get the Brooklinen Super-Plush (sold in a pair), available at 25 percent off. These guys are huge. At 53 inches long and 28 inches wide, the Brooklinen towel is what you want to wrap yourself in when the temps are below freezing and the thought of stepping out of a steaming warm shower onto an ice-cold floor chills your heart. These towels were the most absorbent in our evaluation, but they also took the longest to dry.
The Lerekam Solar Spot Lights are among the priciest outdoor spotlights we’ve reviewed, but our tests found they offered tremendous performance. They can be angled, installed with ground spikes (included), or screwed to other surfaces. They have an on/off button and can be recharged with a USB cable (also included). Each of the lights in the six-pack has 40 LEDs, resulting in intense white light that shines wide over an area, not unlike a flashlight.
Travel
With its relatively low price and admirable test performance, the expandable Amazon Basics 21-inch Hardside Spinner is a worthwhile pick for those who don’t care about the bells and whistles. It aced most durability tests and had strong scores in our assessments for usability, carrying and pulling, construction quality, ergonomics and design, and safety.
Herschel Novel Duffle
This Herschel weekender is on sale in its Limited Edition colorways, and for a slightly higher price in other versions. It comes in fun, youthful colors and patterns (tie-dye! florals!). It’s water-resistant, light and easy to carry, and simple—no confusing bells and whistles here. A separate compartment for shoes keeps your clothes clean, but other than that, this is a straightforward, affordable bag to get you from point A to point B.
Nearly $20 less than it has been in recent weeks, this carry-on is a great deal right now. At 5.7 pounds, the American Tourister Wavebreaker 20" Spinner is the lightest hard-shell carry-on in our ratings. Yet, it’s a sturdy traveler. We found it to have top-quality construction, and it performed admirably in our evaluations of impact resistance, ergonomics and design, and safety. But with just two interior pockets, no built-in lock, and no expanding middle, it’s only so-so for usability. Its telescoping handle has only two positions, which contributes to a middling score for carrying and pulling. The manufacturer’s listed dimensions of 23x18x11 inches—with its telescopic handle stowed—are a bit bigger than the carry-on dimension requirements of most domestic airlines.
Osprey Daylite Plus 20L
With lighter loads, this Osprey Daylite hydration backpack is a very comfy carry, especially for shorter jaunts under 2 hours. The longish back panel and adjustable sternum strap make this pack easy to fit long or short torsos, and two stretchy side pockets are large enough for carrying a water bottle or two if you want to ditch the reservoir during the week. The Daylite’s interior is large enough to accommodate both a paperback and an iPad Mini. The main hold is roomy enough for spare clothes and more and has a reservoir sleeve that’s padded, so it doubles as a laptop slot (for up to 15-inch models). The HydraPak Shape-Shift 2L reservoir worked seamlessly with this pack.
Various colorways are on sale for different prices.
Neck Massagers and Massage Guns
Renpho R4 Pro Massage Gun
The partial triangle handle and adjustable massage head on this Renpho massage gun make it easy for users to more comfortably target hard-to-reach areas of the body, and it’s light. This inexpensive device isn’t particularly powerful, but its moderate massage should still be sufficient for many users. It’s straightforward to use, with one button to change speeds. While it does very well in our evaluations of handle ergonomics, postural stress, and ease of use, it doesn’t have the premium feel of some of the more expensive devices we’ve tested. Changing the attachments feels a little clunky and can take a lot of force.
This is the same low price that’s usually available when this goes on sale.
Renpho R3 Massage Gun
The Renpho R3 massage gun might be the best all-around device for most average users because it’s small, lightweight, and quieter than other devices. But it’s not the ideal choice for people who want the most intense massage or the best model to massage areas on the back.
The pistol grip could add some more postural stress than other devices, though its light weight and small form could help alleviate stress for some. As a bonus, this can be charged with a standard USB-C charging cable.
This is the same low price that’s usually available when this goes on sale.
Smart Home
Twinkly String Lights
To make your holiday light display really pop this year, consider the Twinkly Strings. We tried out these lights a few years ago and found them to be a fun way to put on an elaborate light show. The lights connect to WiFi, so you can customize them from your smartphone, but they also work with Amazon Alexa, Apple Home/Siri, and Google Home/Assistant.
These lights were $10 less on Black Friday.
The Arlo Video Doorbell 2K is one of the best video doorbells you can buy. It provides the flexibility to install it wherever you need it. You can run it using the rechargeable battery or hardwire it to a home’s doorbell wiring for continuous power. Features include geofencing and voice/app control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home/Assistant. Cloud video storage and additional features (such as alerts for people, packages, animals, and vehicles) require an Arlo Secure subscription. This doorbell is back down to its fall Prime Day price.
The August Smart Lock, now just $5 more than during the big sale, is a retrofit model, meaning it replaces only the interior thumb-turn side of your home’s deadbolt. (The benefit of this? You can keep your current house keys and let the exterior side of the deadbolt continue to match your front door’s knob or handles.) This August model does quite well in our tests, especially when it comes to its ease of connectivity and many convenience features. Those features include auto-lock, auto-unlock, an access log to track who comes and goes, and electronic keys for guests. But this deal doesn’t include the August Connect WiFi Bridge, $79, which adds remote control via the August app and voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus is one of the company’s newer doorbells. It doesn’t excel at video quality, but it does provide strong data security, speedy alerts, and quick-loading live video feeds. Features include color night vision, a rechargeable and swappable battery pack, activity zones, and voice/app control via Amazon Alexa. Cloud video storage and additional features (such as person alerts) require a Ring Home subscription. This Ring doorbell is back down to its fall Prime Day price. You can also purchase it bundled with a Ring Stick Up Cam, worth $100, for $150 at Amazon.
The compact, battery-powered TP-Link Tapo MagCam C425 performs well in our tests and offers local storage via microSD card (up to 512 gigabytes; sold separately). The “bullet-style” camera features person detection, pet detection, vehicle detection, monitoring zones, color night vision (even when the built-in spotlights are off), a built-in siren, and voice and app control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home/Assistant. Best of all, you don’t need to sign up for a subscription to use any of these features. TP-Link also sells a $40 solar panel that can be connected to the camera to keep the battery charged. It’s $10 more now than it was recently, so the price may improve for Black Friday weekend.

Baby Products
The Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Double is a stroller frame that can accommodate two car seats. It performed excellently in our safety tests, and it’s as easy to use as the single Snap-N-Go. But it’s a bit harder to maneuver, as double strollers tend to be. It’s easy to fold and unfold, though carrying it folded can be a little awkward. It’s compatible with a number of car-seat brands, and it meets Disney parks’ stroller size requirements.
Kiinde Kozii Baby Bottle Warmer
This bottle warmer from Kiinde Kozii earned a top spot in our rankings. It uses a warm water bath to warm baby bottles, so like the other models we tested that employ this method, it did not overheat our formula. Even after we left the warmer running for 34 minutes after the warming program was complete, the formula reached a maximum temperature of only 103° F. The dial on the device shows users how much time is left in the warming program, ticking as the time progresses much like a typical kitchen timer does, so you always know when the device is still running through a program. Because you select only the warming time and not the amount or temperature of the milk, you’ll have to keep the warming time chart handy to know how long to set the device for.
This bottle sterilizer performed extremely well in our tests for both temperature and drying. Like other models we tested, it has an auto mode that runs both a sanitizing and drying cycle (though it doesn’t have a HEPA filter), and it also has selectable drying times. It has three possible configurations, thanks to an extra tray to hold bottle nipples and other items, but our testers found it less easy to use than other top models. It can fit up to 11 baby bottles, though there are only six prongs on the main tray to hold them in place and they’re very short, which doesn’t keep bottles quite as stable as models with taller prongs.
This Hauture sterilizer, now at the best price we’ve seen, performed the best of all the sterilizers we tested, and its design is intuitive and easy to use, too. Its auto mode runs both a sanitizing and a drying cycle, and a digital timer shows the progress. It also has selectable drying times and a storage mode that restarts the heated dry cycle periodically to keep items clean for up to 72 hours. You can fit up to 11 bottles in the sterilizer. They won’t have their own prong, but with that many bottles, they’ll be close enough together that they won’t fall over.
This HelloBaby model is one of the lower-priced video monitors to earn CR’s recommendation. The device has its own display and handles the video feed locally, so it doesn’t have the privacy and security issues of internet-connected models. It lacks a nightlight, but that’s hardly a deal breaker.

Pet Products
Petlibro Granary Smart Feeder
The PetLibro automatic pet feeder was easy to use and has an app that makes setting schedules and dispensing food a breeze. It dispenses accurate amounts of dry food for dogs or cats and has a voice recording feature that allows you to call your pet for meals.
Cat Mate C3000 Automatic Dog & Cat Feeder, 26-Cup
This automatic feeder allows pet owners to schedule up to three meals a day, in any desired quantity, says Amanda Arnold, senior manager of business analytics at CR. The device has a maximum capacity of 26 cups and can be programmed to give out meals as small as 2 teaspoons.
The Cube is not specifically intended for pet tracking but to help people keep track of a range of possessions, including cars, luggage, and kids backpacks, as well as pets. That puts the Cube at a disadvantage as a pet tracker, despite its competent core tracking abilities. The device is relatively large and heavy, but most dog collars won’t fit through its thin slots, so you need to purchase an add-on collar clip for $25. More significantly, the app lacks pet-specific features like fitness and activity tracking and a light beacon for spotting your dog at night.
On the other hand, it does let you set a home “safe zone” and virtual fence, and does emit a fairly loud sound alert. It’s also very solidly constructed, creates detailed and easy-to-read location histories, and is capable of delivering high-temperature alerts.
A baby gate may be earmarked for kids but can achieve the same results for pets, especially when it comes to keeping them away from certain areas of a home. The Cumbor Auto Close is the top-rated baby safety gate in our tests. It’s made of steel and can be pressure-mounted or installed more securely using optional cup hardware. Among other pluses, it offers easy one-handed operation and a 180-degree swing. It’s very easy to install and received top scores in security and convenience as well.
This gate is back down to the lowest price we’ve seen this year
