Macy’s has been a household name for generations, and while retailers like Amazon and Walmart are known for holding big sales events and pushing "everyday" low prices, Macy’s is still holding its own in the deals arena. Time and again, I’ve found Macy’s offers the same discounts as the online retail giants on everything from home goods to kitchen appliances to tech devices and more. And right now, there’s a Valentine’s Day sale with plenty of products 20 to 50 percent off.

Whether you’re looking for an alternative to big-box stores or you like the idea of ordering online and picking up in stores, Macy’s has plenty of ways to help you save on the things you want and need. To help you get started, I’ve rounded up some of the best offers available right now at Macy’s.

And if you don’t find what you’re looking for here, I track prices on everything we test here at CR. You can find all the latest offers on our Deals Hub.

    Coffee Makers

The Melitta Aroma Fresh Plus 10-Cup takes whole coffee beans and grinds them fresh for each pot, which it brews in about 11 minutes. Our lab testers found the Melitta especially convenient to use, based on setup, operation, and cleanup—plus, the Melitta’s carafe was easy to hold, pour from, and empty. The Melitta also features auto-shutoff and an indicator to notify you when cleaning is necessary.

As glass-carafe drip coffee machines go, this Cuisinart drip coffee maker ranks among the best—and it’s back down to the same low price we saw for Black Friday. This machine performs superbly in our brewing tests and really well in our assessments for general handling and convenience. You can program it to brew at a certain time and tailor the brew strength to your desired preferences. An indicator light lets you know when it’s time to clean it. Cuisinart, as a brand, earns high owner-satisfaction and reliability scores for its drip coffee makers.

    Cookware

This cost-conscious 11-piece stainless steel cookware set from The Cellar has two frying pans, two saucepans, a sauté pan, a stockpot, a silicone trivet, and four lids. The set, a Macy’s exclusive, aces our tests for cooking evenness, speed of heating, and food release. It’s also easy to clean, earning an excellent score. The handles stay safe and cool, but they aren’t so sturdy, earning a mediocre rating for that test.

You can expect even heating and a steady sauce simmer from the nonstick Cuisinart GreenGourmet Hard Anodized GG-12 set, which received excellent scores in our tests for those tasks. We also found it a breeze to slide eggs out of this pan one after another with no oil at all. Even after scouring these pans for our nonstick durability tests to simulate years of use, nonstick properties still show good performance. You can also expect handles to stay sturdily attached, a quality not always found in inexpensive cookware. One possible downside: It’s only oven-safe up to 400° F. We’ve seen better deals in the last year, but it’s still a great one if you’re looking to buy a CR Recommended nonstick set now.

All-Clad is a coveted brand for home chefs and professionals—they even use All-Clad pans in The Bear! This stainless steel set scored very well in our tests, especially when it came to cooking evenness and food release. We tried the 10-piece set, which is $200 more than Macy’s 7-piece set. So if you don’t need a full suite of pots and pans, this could be a great opportunity to invest in some high-end cookware.

    Headphones

This low-priced wireless earbud from JBL delivers acceptable sound quality and top-notch active noise reduction. These have silicone ear tips that isolate outside sounds and an ambient sound monitoring feature. They’re not high performers, but at this price, they’re great to give to kids who tend to lose things or to just toss into your gym bag or backpack for a spare pair.

There’s a lot to like about this over-the-ear noise-canceling headphone that sits second in Bose’s lineup but performs a lot like the top-of-the-line QuietComforts. Since Bose devices don’t routinely carry big discounts, the $199 price–at a discount of $160–makes this deal particularly appealing. The QuietComforts provide sound quality that’s solid if not quite up to the very best headphones in this category.

When you’re looking for workout headphones, nothing’s more important than the fit. Earbuds that don’t stay on aren’t of much use. The Powerbeats Pro 2 aims to solve that problem with earhooks that keep these good-sounding, noise-canceling earbuds firmly in place. Among our testers, some found them very secure, but others had to fiddle to get a decent fit, so pay attention to the return policy, especially if you’re giving these as gifts.

    Tech

The Fitbit Charge line has always featured great general-purpose trackers, and the Charge 6 is no exception. It’s sleek, with a 1.1-inch full-color display, making it suitable for the gym and the office. And some of its health-tracking features—like stress monitoring and an ECG (electrocardiogram) function that can alert you to irregular heart rhythms—are more on a par with a smartwatch. The Charge 6 earns excellent test scores in key categories and has more precise heart rate monitoring than its predecessor, the Charge 5. Claimed battery life for the Fitbit Charge 6 is seven days. We’ve seen this fitness tracker sell for $100 during bigger sales, so there’s a chance the deal could get even better next week as we approach Presidents Day.

    Home

While this price isn’t the absolute lowest we’ve seen on the Shark CarpetXpert EX201, it’s still a solid deal. In our tests, this cleaner does a solid job cleaning stains from carpets and doesn’t leave much detergent residue behind. It’s convenient to use and comes with a hose, a crevice attachment, and a pet mess tool.

The HoMedics AP-T200 has impressive performance and an attractive design, similar to the AP-C500. It performs impressively on both high and low speeds and is easy to use. Just expect a fair amount of noise while it’s running. The major difference—this model is designed for medium rooms of 150-350 square feet, so it’s smaller in size and has a smaller price tag.

At 12 pounds, the Shark Navigator Lift-Away LA300 is one of the lightest bagless uprights we’ve tested. Its convenient features include a detachable pod and manual suction control on the handle. It’s excellent at cleaning bare floors and pet hair, and very good at cleaning carpets. In our member surveys, Shark uprights receive a very good mark for predicted reliability and owner satisfaction.

You can’t really go wrong with the HoMedics UHE-CMTF45-GY Total Comfort UV-C, which is designed to humidify small rooms of up to 278 square feet. It’s quiet, energy-efficient, and has top-tier moisture output. It comes with a nightlight feature and has an indicator that shows when you need to clean the humidifier.

You’re going to experience quite a bit of wrinkling with the Hotel Collection Egyptian cotton sheets, but if you don’t mind pulling out the steamer to get your sheets smooth, you have a winner with this set. It provides a great fit for mattresses up to 10 inches thick, and it can withstand quite a bit of stretching and pulling. Plus, it aced our shrinkage test—just one of five cotton sheets in our ratings to do so.
