This Black+Decker POWERSERIES Extreme BSV2020P vacuum performs well in CR’s tests overall but struggles with edge cleaning. A few pluses: It’s self-standing, has a brush on/off switch, and features a filter cleaning dial that empties the filter dust into the dustbin to prevent your hands from getting dirty. In CR tests, it runs for about 30 minutes per charge on low and 10 minutes on high. The batteries can be used in other Black+Decker products. A few caveats: If you grab the dustbin while vacuuming, it may disengage. The vac is also a bit wobbly in self-standing mode.

The Bissell FlexClean FurForce 4270L is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to both vacuuming and mopping functions. However, compared to some other robot vacuum-and-mop combos we’ve tested, it lacks certain amenities. The base automatically empties the device’s dustbin, but you’ll need to clean the device’s mopping pads and refill the robot with cleaning formula yourself. It’s only $50 more than its best price.

The Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog is now the best price we’ve ever seen, $100 less than it was for Prime Day. It’s a great vacuum to have if you have allergies or asthma because it doesn’t release debris into the air as you’re cleaning it up from the floor. It also earns strong marks for vacuuming pet hair, making it a good choice for pet owners.

The GorFanty 10-in-1 MultiPurpose, which typically retails for $100, has hit an all-time low price for Prime Day. It is an excellent cleaner with a decent steam rate. It takes only 20 seconds for the steam mop to produce steam, and its steam can last for around 10 minutes on its maximum setting. We like that you can adjust the length of the mop to accommodate people of different heights. The mop comes with plenty of accessories, including attachments for cleaning tile grout, clothes, furniture, windows, and carpets.

It’s hard to find fault with the Tineco Floor One S5, which is exemplary at cleaning stains off of ceramic tiles and producing steam. It also scores a very good rating on our convenience test, meaning it’s easy and comfortable to use.

If you’re looking for an air purifier for a small room, the Blueair Mini Restful might fit the bill, though it’s $50 more than it was last week. The Mini Restful earns the CR Recommended designation because it performed very well in our tests. Running at high speeds, it aced the dust, pollen, and smoke removal tests, and did nearly as well operating at low speeds. It gets a middling score for noise output at high speed, which is common across every model, but it’s actually pretty quiet at low speed, making it a great option for all-day use in, say, a home office.

This humidifier, rated for small rooms, is a fantastic balance of quality and price. It’s a top-rated model; it handled every one of our tests with ease, and it has an indicator when the water level is low, so it’s easy to know when you need to add more (and it shuts off automatically if you don’t get there in time). With perfect scores across the board and a price under $50, it’s a no-brainer.

The Leebein Power Spin Scrubber ANS-8050 is a strong scrubber with an incredibly long battery life. It can last about an hour on its highest power mode, so it’s unlikely that it will die on you in the middle of cleaning. If the battery is entirely depleted, however, it will take a while to recharge. (In our tests, it took more than 3 hours.) The scrubber has two speeds: 300 rpm and 400 rpm. It scores well for ease of use because it comes with 8 attachments, the most among the models we tested, including a scouring brush for greasy kitchen areas, a sponge brush for glass, a wool-like brush for polishing a car, and cloth brushes for leather and floor cleaning. It’s also relatively light and features an extension wand that extends up to 50 inches, giving you a wide reach. The angle of the scrubber’s head is fixed and can’t be adjusted. Unlike some of the other models, it comes with an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it can withstand brief immersion in water.

Despite the "cooling" in its name, this Nectar pillow doesn’t actually have cooling properties. Still, it’s one of the most breathable pillows we’ve evaluated and our tests show that it doesn’t retain warmth. This polyurethane foam and polyester pillow is also quite resilient and excels at offering support for side sleepers. Back sleepers, however, would be better served by the Coop Original.

The price for the Guohaoi Cooling Blanket fluctuates constantly, so if you’ve had your eye on it, try to get it while it’s under $20. This was the second most cooling blanket we tested. When wearing it for an hour, the evaluator reported it felt very cool and didn’t retain heat. The front of this blanket is constructed with nylon and polyester and feels like smooth, cool swimsuit material. The back is made from Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified cotton. The stitching isn’t the neatest and feels a little inexpensive, and the two layers aren’t attached, but you can often expect some shortcomings for lower-priced items, and the important thing is that this blanket has a cooling effect as advertised.

According to our sensory test, the Lands’ End Premium Supima Cotton Sheet Set is one of the softest in our ratings. Though you will experience some wrinkling, it still performs better than most natural cotton sheets in our wrinkling assessment. Lab tests find that this topper from Casper doesn’t allow users to sink in as deeply as others. This topper feels like an actual mattress, adding a touch of medium softness where needed without allowing the body to sink in too much. The two-layer cushion combines a layer of softer foam over a firmer base layer of foam. At a little under 16 pounds, it’s easy to move around, and its machine-washable zip-off cover made of polyester, cotton, rayon, and spandex makes it easy to clean. For a more budget-friendly choice, the Canest Smart Toilet TC200GE is great at flushing waste and leaving no residue in the bowl. That said, its flushes can be a bit noisy. One of the features we really enjoy is that this toilet automatically adjusts the seat temperature, the warm-air dryer, and the bidet stream based on the indoor temperature, so you don’t have to adjust them seasonally. If you’re considering this toilet, you might want to act on this deal.

Utopia premium bath towels are 100 percent cotton but shrank the least in our tests, even after 10 wash and dry cycles. We found that they got a bit less soft after washing, however, and experienced some hourglassing. Certified OEKO-TEX, they’re available in plum, sage green, ivory, and lavender, among other shades. They’re usually $35 for a pack of four, so this is a nice discount.

The Bedsure Electric Heated Flannel Blanket is thin but light. Though it’s cozy, it resembles an inexpensive fleece blanket you’d find at a grocery store. One side is striped flannel and the other is linty fleece. The flannel is not the best quality, but it does get hot. And it has the lightest wires of the blankets we evaluated. This is the price for a throw-sized blanket. Other sizes vary in price.

Ego’s battery-powered outdoor equipment consistently gets top marks from our testers, and this one is now $20 less than it was recently. Consumer Reports has rated the following products from its 56-volt battery platform: string trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, a hedge trimmer, and lawn mowers. This system of tools also includes a highly rated snow blower and a very good pressure washer, though they didn’t factor into the Overall Score. Tools can be bought with and without a battery, and you can buy a charger that takes two batteries at once. Ego also has a three-year warranty for its batteries.

This five-setting Hopopro showerhead is the best fixed showerhead we’ve tested, and it’s also the least expensive one in our ratings, even when it’s not on sale. In terms of pressure, droplet size, and coverage, our testers found that it provided a great-feeling shower. It also earns top marks for its modest water consumption, using only 1.8 gallons of water per minute.

If you want a way to do cardio at home, an elliptical gives you an aerobic workout without the impact of running. The NordicTrack Air Glide 14i is CR Recommended for its performance in our lab tests. It did fall short in heart rate accuracy, but you can always wear a smartwatch or fitness tracker for more accurate readings if you want to track it.

The Samsonite Outline Pro Carry-On Spinner is the only hard-shell carry-on luggage model in our ratings to earn a top mark for usability. That’s in part because it can be expanded and its handle can be raised to six positions, a boon to travelers of varying heights. This hardy road warrior is also stellar for durability and performs admirably for opening, closing, packing, carrying, and pulling. Special features include a compartment divider, lock, and built-in USB port for connecting power sources (that you provide) to your electronics. Just note that the manufacturer’s listed dimensions of 23x15x10 inches—with telescopic handle stowed—might not meet the carry-on dimension requirements of some domestic airlines.

This is a nice discount on the Samsonite Freeform Carry-on Spinner, another great hardshell performer from our tests. The Samsonite has four wheels, two handles, and it comes in more than 10 different colors, so you can choose a color specific to you. It comes with a 10-year limited warranty.

The LG WM3400CW is already quite inexpensive even when it’s not discounted, so the added savings are a bonus. Especially given its performance, it’s a smart buy and an environmentally friendly choice, combining exceptional washing performance with superior water and energy efficiency. But this model isn’t particularly gentle on fabric, so you might want to try the delicate cycle for your best threads. This washer’s claimed capacity is 4.5 cubic feet, and its cycle time is 105 minutes.

One of the most budget-friendly top-load agitators in our tests, the LG WT7005CW is only $50 more than its best price. This eco-friendly Green Choice washer isn’t the gentlest on clothes, but it conserves energy and water. It’s among the quietest models in our tests and causes little to no vibration, meaning it won’t disturb you with rumbling. The cycle time is 70 minutes using the normal-wash, heavy-soil setting. Shorten it by using the normal soil setting whenever possible.

You’ll notice that the LG Signature WM9900HSA features a minimalist design, and it’s back to its best price after dropping $100 right before Labor Day. At nearly $2,100 at full price, it may sock your wallet. This is typically the most expensive front-loader in our ratings by far, about $700 more than the next priciest model, making this discount worth a look.

The new Signature retains the outstanding performance and large 5.8-cubic-foot capacity, making it the roomiest front-loader in our tests. In fact, it receives top scores across the board for washing performance, energy efficiency, and water efficiency. But it’s not as gentle on clothes as some other machines, and it vibrates somewhat during its long 2-hour wash cycle. At 41 inches tall and 33 inches deep, it’s also larger than the standard-size front-loader, so measure your space carefully before making a purchase.

The top-rated LG DLE3400W is still available for its Labor Day price. We expect it to perform similarly to the CR-tested LG DLEX3700W (now discontinued). But what sets this dryer apart is AI-sensing technology that optimizes drying times, and a TurboSteam cycle that refreshes clothes and combats odors. Aside from its 56-minute cycle time, its de-wrinkle option can tumble clothes for up to 3 hours after the cycle ends. You can also operate the machine remotely via its ThinQ app. One thing it lacks, however, is a duct blockage indicator, so it’s essential to keep close tabs on duct maintenance.
