    Dish Soap

    Amazon Basics Dish Soap

    Amazon Basics Dish Soap

Performance-wise, this dish soap cleaned about as well as most others, maintaining its suds through the washing of all our dirty dishes. Its clean scent is pleasant, too.

Dawn Platinum Plus PowerSuds Liquid Dish Soap

Dawn Platinum Plus PowerSuds Liquid Dish Soap

This dish soap produced a rich lather, cleaned messes well, and dispensed from the bottle easily. According to Dawn, it has “2x the suds”, so messes are scrubbed away quicker and with less work from you.

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Dish Soap

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Dish Soap

This dish soap produced rich suds and had an elevated, herbal scent like no other we tested. It is also available in an easy-to-dispense 16-ounce bottle.

    Dishwasher Detergent

This dishwasher detergent earned the highest score of all the pod and gel detergents we’ve tested. It cleans well and minimizes film and discoloration on dishes.

These dishwasher detergent pacs earned top marks for their ability to clean dishes and resist film and discoloration. They also resist water spots caused by hard water on dishes.

    Facial Tissue

    Puffs Ultra Soft

    Puffs Ultra Soft

This super-soft two-ply tissue demonstrated decent abrasion resistance in our tests, but fell short in terms of strength and absorbency. Still, the pick comes in money-saving packs of 10 in colorful, well-designed boxes you’ll be happy to display.

    Flushable Wipes

    Amazon Basics Flushable Wipes

    Amazon Basics Flushable Wipes

Amazon Basics Flushable Wipes were our editor’s choice pick because they cleaned well (even sticky hands), dried quickly on the skin, and retained moisture in their packaging better than most others.

    Cottonelle Flushable Wipes

    Cottonelle Flushable Wipes

These flushable wipes from Cottonelle were the easiest to dispense from their packaging and had a high tensile strength in our tests. These also boast a light fragrance.

    Hand Soap

    Amazon Basics Liquid Hand Soap

    Amazon Basics Liquid Hand Soap

This hand soap has a smooth and velvety feel that turns our hands silky-smooth. The large bottle is also a big money-saver and perfect if you already have hand soap dispensers you love to display.

    Laundry Detergent Sheets

In our tests, detergent sheets disappointed in their lack of performance. Of the brands we tested, this was the best one, earning passable ratings for dirt removal.

    Multipurpose Cleaners

    Presto All-Purpose Cleaner

    Presto All-Purpose Cleaner

In our tests, the Presto cleaner removed sticky syrup and grease from countertops like a dream, and seemed to dispense more cleaner in one spray than some other picks. Just skip it for mirrors and use a dedicated glass cleaner instead.

    Quart Bags

Amazon Basics Quart Slider Storage Bags

Amazon Basics Quart Slider Storage Bags

These are super-strong quart bags, and super-easy to use, as well. They were no. 3 for our leak test, but on the other hand, they’re among the cheapest we tested—even when not on sale.

    Ziploc Storage Quart Bags

    Ziploc Storage Quart Bags

Although hard to close, these are very sturdy bags, and make a great option for parents with toddlers who have a penchant for throwing their snacks.

    Toilet Paper

    Reel Bamboo Toilet Paper

    Reel Bamboo Toilet Paper

This bamboo toilet paper was an all-around winner: sturdy, easy to start a roll, and individually wrapped in stylish paper. It’s not the softest—but on the other hand, it’s not linty.

    Amazon Basics Toilet Paper

    Amazon Basics Toilet Paper

It’s not luxury, but it performed reasonably well in our tests, making it a great budget option for a kid’s room or the office. It disintegrates very well, so if you have an old, sensitive plumbing system, this toilet paper should be considered.
