If your current vacuum isn’t up to par, Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days could be the perfect time to invest in a new one. It’s the second (and last) day of the October sales event, so here’s your last chance to suck up the savings before the late-year holiday rush, whether you want a hands-off robotic vacuum, a lightweight stick vac, or a heavy-duty upright or canister vacuum.
We take into consideration a variety of factors when highlighting vacuum sales. They include a model’s performance in CR’s tests, its predicted reliability based on data from our member surveys, and the size of the discount compared with the original list price and the current “street price” (that is, the typical cost of the product).
For more information on vacuums, read CR’s vacuum cleaner buying guide and check out our vacuum ratings to see how over 250 models performed in our tests for cleaning bare floors and carpets as well as clearing edges and pet hair.

Robotic Vacuums
The iRobot Roomba S9+ usually retails around $1,000, but it’s now selling for half that price, making this one of the best deals we’ve seen. It’s a highly-rated robot vacuum that does particularly well in our cleaning tests. It’s a standout at picking up pet hair and has a squared front edge that helps it hug the edges of a room. The model is being discontinued, so this also might be your last chance to buy it.
