While none of the frozen pizzas in our recent tests are nutritional superstars, many are better choices compared with what’s on the menu at popular takeout chains. Thick crusts (made only with refined white flour), crusts stuffed with cheese, and toppings that include several types of processed meat add up to pizzas that are nutritionally on a par with a double cheeseburger. In some cases, a single slice can deliver nearly half of the recommended daily allowance for sodium.
