Detailed Test Results

PICTURE QUALITY. This model, like all of the other models in our Ratings, had excellent picture quality when playing 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs. It did very well with standard DVDs, displaying the best detail possible.
EASE OF USE. We found the model to be easy to use, overall. Operating the player from its front panel was easy. The remote was fairly easy to use. Its fits well in the hand and Does not follow the contour of the hands well, feels blocky, slightly light in the hand. It lacks direct access button(s) for streaming services. The onscreen menu was highly intuitive and easy to use.
SPEED. With its quick-start feature enabled, the startup time became 7 seconds. It had a faster Blu-ray load time than many other models of around 13 seconds. The DVD load time was typical of many models -- 14 seconds. The eject time was 4 seconds, faster than many other models.
INTERNET FEATURES.
CONTROLS AND CONNECTIVITY. The player is DLNA certified, so you can access digital photos, videos, and music stored on a PC, phone, tablet, or other device connected to your home network.

Manufacturers may periodically upgrade the Blu-ray player's firmware to enhance operation, fix bugs, or add features.
