PHOTO QUALITY. This 16-megapixel waterproof and rugged camera captured images with merely fair quality. We judged this model good for outdoor performance, such as shooting landscapes in the daytime; good for indoor performance, such as photographing a well-lit basketball game in a gym; FLASH. The FinePix XP135 captured flash shots that were fair. In our distance test, we found the camera's flash could illuminate most subjects that are closer to the camera, but had some problems with distant subjects. The flash also has good, relatively even coverage.LENS. This camera includes a 5x zoom lens, a bit more zoom than a standard 3x. The lens also has wide-angle (28mm) capability that's useful for landscapes and group portraits, although you may notice a bit of distortion when you're shooting faces up close, for instance.IMAGE STABILIZATION. This is an important feature; taking hand-held shots at the telephoto end of the zoom range can generally blur or soften images due to the slight movement of your hands. Shooting telephoto in well-lit scenes, this model did an excellent job of minimizing the effects of camera shake. In low-light settings, it performed excellently and almost never produced blurry photos. Overall, the shake reduction results from our tests were excellent.SPEED. In terms of performance, the Fujifilm FinePix XP135 powers up very quickly. It has a very short interval between shots, which can be important when shooting fast-moving or unpredictable subjects.VIDEO. The Fujifilm FinePix XP135 takes good video. It captures full HD video at 1920 x 1080 60p. As for sound, it captures very good audio in mono.ADDITIONAL COMMENTS.

The FinePix XP135 is a 16-megapixel camera with 5x optical zoom and a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 28mm-140mm. It has a 2.9-inch LCD (920,000 pixels). We consider this model a waterproof and rugged camera. The FinePix XP135 stores photos and video on SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards and has 96MB of on-board storage. It captures images as JPEG files at a top resolution of 4608 x 3456 and full HD-resolution video as MOV files at a top resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a frame rate up to 60p. Like most digital cameras, this model comes with a proprietary rechargeable battery. The image stabilization system for this camera is mechanical. The FinePix XP135 measures 4.4 inches wide by 2.8 inches high by 1.3 inches deep, and weighs 7 ounces (with battery, memory card, and strap).
