Sound quality: We found the CLUB PRO+ TWS delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks and excellent active noise reduction. With the noise cancelling mode engaged and the JBL Headphone app tone settings set to off (as received state of the headphone) the bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is somewhat prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is a bit thin and sibilant, somewhat grainy, a touch hazy, and gets harsh at higher volumes. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended but is somewhat prominent and smeared. The sound also has a decent sense of liveliness and is somewhat open--sound-wise it almost seems like you don't have anything plugging up your ears. Mixed character - warmish bass with neutral midrange and neutral treble. The overall sound can best be summarized as somewhat bassy and grainy, and a bit thin. The tone settings of the app do have a noticeable effect on the sound of these headphones. Noise Canceling: Excellent noise reduction across the entire frequency range with the low frequencies reduced the most. An extremely faint rushing sound can be heard when there is no audio program to drown it out.
Comfort: We found that these earphones produce as typical of in-ear models a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening that might be uncomfortable for some. Users with small ear bowls might find that the earphone body feels a bit bulky in their ear bowl and that they stick out too far and feel like they may lever out of place and are mostly held in place by the section of the earphone that is inserted in the ear canal, but that they will generally stay in place during casual use. Users with medium sized ear bowls will probably find that this model fits and stays in place even during fairly vigorous head movement. Users with larger sized ear bowls will probably find that this model fits and stays in place even during casual use. Some users might find tapping the earphone controls drives the earphones farther into the ear canal and may cause ear discomfort.
