Design and features:The Elite Active 65t has an integrated microphone and volume, music player, and call connect/disconnect controls for paired Bluetooth devices. The right and left earpieces can be used together for Bluetooth streamed audio and telephone communication, or the right earpiece can be used alone for one ear monitoring of Bluetooth streamed audio and telephone communications. It also supports Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri digital voice assistants when used with Bluetooth devices that have those capabilities. This model is claimed by the manufacturer to be water and dust resistant and comes with three pairs of ear pieces in various sizes, a USB charging cable, and a charging cradle/recharger battery/carrying case that the manufacturer claims can be used to recharge the earphone batteries up to two times between its own charges. The free Jabra Sound+ app provides switchable noise masking, ambient sound monitoring, graphical EQ, fitness walk/running step counter and timer, and software update functions.
Sound quality: We found the Elite Active 65t delivers sound quality that falls in the Very Good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. The overall sound can best be summarized as slightly bassy but otherwise even. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is slightly prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even but a bit grainy. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended, but is a touch smeared (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer sound blurred). The sound has a good sense of liveliness and is somewhat open -- sound-wise it almost seems like you don't have anything plugging up your ears.
Comfort: As typical of in-ear models they produce a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening that might be uncomfortable for some. Users with small earbowls might find that this model feels too large, or that the earphone bodies don't fit securely into their earbowls and that the earphones are mostly held in place by the sections of the earpieces that insert into the ear canals. Users with medium and larger sized earbowls will probably find that this model fits and stays in place even during vigorous head movement. Some users might find pushing on the controls to actuate the functions drives the earphone further into the earbowl and/or canal and causes ear discomfort.
