Design and features:The Sport Pace Wireless has a built-in microphone and integrated volume, music player and call connect/disconnect controls for use with paired Bluetooth devices. It can be used with the Jabra Sport Life app (free for download to Apple and Android mobile devices) and can provide workout progress updates. It has a reflective connecting cable, and the manufacturer claims that it is weather and shock resistant. This model comes with three pairs of ear pieces in various sizes, a USB charging cable, and a connecting cable shorting clip.
Sound quality: We found the Sport Pace Wireless delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well, although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. The overall sound can best be summarized as mellow and very bassy. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has lots of impact and goes deep, but is prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is mellow and fairly even, but somewhat overwhelmed by the bass. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is extended but sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying) and a bit subdued. While the sound has a decent sense of liveliness, it is somewhat closed-in -- sound-wise it is somewhat obvious that you have something plugging up your ears. The sound is similar to the Jabra Sport Coach Wireless but the bass is much more prominent and boomy.
Comfort: We found that once these earphones are properly seated, they feel stable, even with vigorous head movement, However, a fair amount of fiddling is needed to get the earpieces seated. Some users may find the angle that the earpieces insert into the ears and/or the sense of pressure in the ear opening that they produce to be uncomfortable.
