Design and features:These earphones have medium-high sensitivity so they can provide satisfying volume levels when used with home audio equipment and even lower-powered portable audio devices. This model is claimed by the manufacturer to be water resistant and comes with three pairs of ear pieces in various sizes.
Sound quality: We found the Ironman Sports SE-E3M delivers sound quality that falls in the fair range, meaning that it has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog and communication. The overall sound can be summarized as boomy, hazy, and soft. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) goes deep, but has exaggerated impact and is prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even, but soft, somewhat hazy and congested (think sonic traffic jam). The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is subdued and a bit smeared (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer sound blurred). The sound is closed-in (sound-wise it is obvious that you have something plugging up your ears) and lacks a bit of liveliness.
Comfort: As typical of in-ear models the Ironman Sports SE-E3M produces a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening might be uncomfortable for some. They stay in place with no problem and are very stable even with vigorous head movement; while the ear hooks increase the sense of stability for users with medium or larger ears they may not do much for users with smaller ears.
